Grandparent’s Night in church, allowed each couple with grandkids to select a song and whole congregation sang all verses. What an eye-opener as to what we in the 50-70 year old generation (who have grandkids) find a blessing in our music.

No P&W. No choruses. No froth.

    He Lifted Me
God Will Take Care of You
    How Can It Be?
    Wonderful Peace
Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing
    And Can It Be?
When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
    My Jesus, I Love Thee
    Great Is Thy Faithfulness
    This Is My Father’s World

Songs of God’s grace and HIS faithfulness to us. What joy.

Then, of course, desserts. A table to send a non-diabetic into insulin shock.

We had all the grandparent's stand...then we had our normal "sharing time" where anybody can say something that God has been showing them lately. My cousin stood up and said "Well..this is news to mama and daddy, but we're gonna have a new addition in our family" The whole church started clapping. Their "baby" will be 2 in December. Maybe it will be a boy this time..then they can have one of each. What news on Grandparent's day huh?
