Where do you normally shop for groceries? Why do you shop there?

I shop at Stop and Shop because it's local, has good prices, has everything I need AND we get a discount thanks to my daughters working there. :) Can't beat that!

I also do shop at Costco but only about once every 2-3 months.

There are times where I do go to Wal-Mart, but lately I have been doing most of my grocery shopping at the dollar stores. Mostly at Dollar General. What ever I can't get from there, I will buy it from Wal-Mart.

I shop at Aldi's first! It's a warehouse discount store where items are sold in regular sizes...not bulk. I bag my own groceries. Most of the items are generic, but much, much cheaper.

What I can't find there, I buy at Kroger's. I use coupons and buy generic as much as possible...except for a few items when I buy (what I consider) the best.

    rural Colorado....

I shop at City Market first (Kroger chain) because they have the freshest produce and dairy.

Safeway has the best meats, but they are SO EXPENSIVE on everything, I only shop their advertised specials.

Walmart meat is dangerous, as well as the produce rots too fast, so I go there for canned goods and dry goods to save money.

Our town only has one family owned grocery store and a Save-a-Lot. If you want more variety, you can drive to another town for groceries.

My favorite place to shop is Whole Foods. Ever been there? Very fresh. Way too expensive. We also have two other local places that I enjoy but both are also very expensive. So we usually go to Publix or Winn Dixie - but I prefer Publix. Sometimes we go to Costco when we are in the area - love the free samples, but I'm not a big fan of the buying in bulk. But they have a great wine area.

Usually Save a Lot and Wal Mart for my regular shopping, local for things I might run out of and need now. A couple of times a month i go to Food Lion in the morning for the sale meats, I sually stock up so I don't need to buy meat the rest of the month.

I am the bargain shopper in the family. When there are huge sales on an item, I will buy tons of it and store it in the pantry. Today I got tuna at $00.33/can. I bought 4 cases. They also had Kellogs for $2.00 a box so I bout about 10 or so cereal. We don't get named brand too often so that is a real treat...

For other stuff my wife goes to Wally world for the everyday low price...

SuperOne Foods because it is closest. The nearest serious competition is about thirty miles away.
