I would answer you first that I disagree that only Israel in the days of Isaiah was the elect of God.

Did God not send Jonah to Ninevah? Were these not Gentiles?

Then I would point out to you the order of your last statement:

There is only one act of election and this was prior to the foundation of the World when all the redeemed of Christ were put in Christ. So the word 'pre-elected' to me (although I don't think you are using it this way) sounds as if there was an elect, then a second elect.

Next, regarding your statement in #2, I simply believe the elect and the man who 'wants' to be saved are the same.

Has Christ ever turned away anyone who 'wants' to be saved? If so, on what grounds were they turned away?
