    I know that there is concern that what will be Hurricane Gustav could distract the nation's attention from next week's GOP convention and that if it hits in Louisiana, especially if it hits near New Orleans, it could bring up memories of the poor response by the Republican administration during Hurricane Katrina; however, seriously folks, we need to be praying that this storm will not reach the intensity that some models predict(as highas a category 3) and that the effects of its landfall will be minimal.

    Yes, however, the Louisiana Democrats aren't holding a nationally televised convention next week. Thus, I didn't mention Governor Blanco.

    Just saw Bobby Jhindal on the tube. N.O. should fare a lot better, this time, now that they have grown-ups in charge.

    Note Ken bringing up human pain & disaster to make a political point. Also note the absence of any criticism of who actually made the decisions that cost lives......
