HANNITY & COLMES Tonight 10/12/08

He just did one a week or so ago. Is this one different or is it a re-run?

 

For the record, this show is called "Hannity's America". Alan Colmes is not a part of this show.

Ken, do you if this is a new program or the same one he did a couple of weeks ago?

 

I think it is the same one he had before which, from what I have read, is built to a large part around an anti-Semite named Andy Martin. You can read more about Andy Martin here: www.thenation.com/blogs/campaignmatters/369472

To stay in a positive vain, I am optimistic that the American people that watch this program will ignore the comments of people such as Andy Martin.

 

These guys, and FOX News in general, are so biased I wouldn't waste my time on them.

I watch both CNN and Fox, because somewhere in the middle of the 2 is something close to what actually happened....

 

Agreed. I get irritated with both of them for opposite reasons. (or sometimes the same - but opposite poles )

 

I guess we'll see but I think Sean has really lost his respectfulness as a media journalist by leaning so far to the right that only the extreme radical conservatives can stomach his positions. I heard many lost respect for him with the Palin interview which as you noticed is never mentioned. No one even considers that an interview. I sure hope he doesn't go too far and put himself out of a job. Other media outlets usually won't touch certain things for a reason. Saying you're the only one who will can be volatile.

To answer your question, I understand he didn't get the expected reaction from his previous show so this one will really "turn up the heat". He is convinced America is only voting for Obama because they don't know what he's about to show us. He won't accept the reality that many don't care.

The problem with these shows is they are like shopping in your own cupboard. As soon as anyone but an extreme right wing republican see Sean go on his attack they will change the channel. Net gain, what you had before... :thumbs:

 

Sean Hannity is a conservative journalist just as Rachel Maddow is a progressive journalist. They both have their fans and their detractors.

 

I loved CBS when Walter Cronkite and Eric Severeid were on. Frankly, I don't think anybody has come up to their level since. I generally watch NBC News nightly and CNN if I want an recent update. The only station I can't watch is FOX, "Fair and Balanced."

Most of my news and most of everything else I get off the internet. I go to the New York Times site a lot, the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, London Times, International Herald-Tribune, etc.

 

I was watching a game, did anyone see if Sean went over the top?

 

I disagree.

I don't believe Hannity is a "journalist" at all.

I've never heard of Rachel Maddow, but consider it likely that she is not a "journalist" either.
