Has anyone heard of...

    Have any of you seen or heard the band "The Franz Family" ... They sing Bluegrass Gospel and they are fantastic... I saw them a week ago in concert at a local Baptist church... The Franz Family

    They are from Arkansas about 30 miles south of Branson Missouri.. The Mother and father are 45 years old and the kids , Caleb (23), Audra(20), Emmett (18) and Olivia (16) ... They all sing and take turns singing lead... Caleb Plays Banjo and Fiddle, Audra Plays Mandoline and Bass Fiddle, Emmett plays Dobro and sings Bass, The Dad(Randy) plays Rythm Guitar and tells jokes between songs ( he is hilarious)... the Mom (RuthAnn) plays bass guitar... Olivia can play Piano but she just sang at the concert I went to. (Great Harmony) They have 3 albums ... I didnt have money to get them at the concert but as soon as I get my Income tax money I'm gonna order them... According to thier website they do concerts for room and board and gas mileage... plus the church passes the collection plate for a Love Offering. They are all very talented musicians and once you hear thier music its difficult to get it out of your head... The Concert lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    I got their 1st 3 cassettes about a couple weeks ago... The 2 newer tapes "Live" and "Wayfaring Stranger" are excellent... I listen to them in the Car alot... IT might not be for everyone...but if you like Lively Bluegrass... Great Harmonys.. Christian Lyrics and vocals similar to Alison Krauss ...then you would like The Franz Family.
