Can you offer anything substantive to prove your point or is all you can do is giggle like a 12 year old?

If Senator Obama does not win the Democratic nomination, then it will be rather difficult for me to support him on November 4.

    1) Maybe he didn't appreciate his remarks in Philadelphia back in March?

    2) He has so far.

    3) Nope.

If Senator Obama is the nominee, I don't plan on voting for him... but if he loses the nomination it won't be because MSNBC's Hardball Chris Matthews didn't try to prop him up this afternoon.

Matthews spoke about how mad Obama was about Wright's view points and how he had completely and totally divorced himself from his former pastor but refusing to admit until another panelist pointed out that this was 4 days too late. Wright had started making these statements last week in interviews.

I think Sen. Obama is losing this. I don't know why Wright is making these statements but he sure isn't doing his former member any good.

I am going to say this, but it concerns me that Wright is seemingly making more fanciful statements all the time. Could there be some physical cause for it. I am not trying to be mean, but I have been around others who start making statements like this (not the content, but the obvious "weirdness") and then later discovering some physical brain problem. I don't know, just trying to make sense of why a man would so patently try to derail another's career.

I think it's a carreer move. He sees an opportunity. I don't think it's a brain malfunction, just greed, & shortsightedness.

Joe Scarborough praised Obama for the same on the "Race for the White House" show on MSNBC as well.

I wonder if Carpro talks to people he disagrees with this way in person? I seriously doubt it.

Ken, the only way to handle a smart aleck kid is to ignore him. Try this on Carpro, it just might work. I know I am much happier since I stopped conversing with him.

I don't know if Rev. Wright did alone. That was all dying down before Obama's "Religon and gun clinging" comments on the left coast. I tend to believe the latter hurt him more than Wright's comments, but Obama's own words are worsened by the Wright controversy, and vice versa. I will say that if Hillary wins this nomination, she has no one to thank but Obama, which is why I am even more convinced that Obama will not appear on the ticket with Hillary. A Clinton loyalist or at least a so far uncommitted Dem will be her Veep choice. Obama had this nomination gift wrapped for him, and he could squander it. But it's not too late for him to regain it.

Funny that Wright is hitting the circuit and Obama is speaking of "outrage" against him. Not that this kind of thing would ever be contrived to try to give Obama a bounce-back ;)

You were a supporter of Ron Paul and seriously questioned his ability to win the GOP nod, so I wouldn't think this would qualify you as a flipflopper. If anything, you're consistent. You're 2 for 2 in saying your guy may not win the party nomination :)

    Hmmm...

Paul was a no brainer. Obama is a serious contender. Right now, it is his nomination to lose.

It's a mental game. Protect your psyche and expect the worst.;)

Or, at least say you do and cover all the bases.

I know we won't know the full effect until the next primary but I found this story interesting.

I don't understand your weakening hope Ken? From what I can see, Wright only hurt Obama with those who were not going to vote for him anyway. Looks to me like most of the Obama supporters have a "consider the source" attitude toward Wright. I read some think he's gone senile or early stage dementia. No one really believes Obama listened to 20 years of this and Wright seems to be proving what ever his condition is is getting worse every time he openes his mouth... Maybe he should get it wired shut...

On that note, the discussion at my barber was there might be a hit out on Wright. This idiott is single handedly destroying the hopes and dreams of an entire race. His race, friend and parishioner... Perhaps he made AIDS and wants to blame it on the government (I started that rumor).
