If He hated sinners so bad, why did He send His Son to die for them?

Saying "Hate the sin, deal with the problem," is meaningless, but hating the sin and loving the sinner is the nature of Christ's Atonement.

The weakness of the original sentiment is that few know what it means to love the sinner.

    I agree.......
If your calling, "Hate the sin, deal with the problem,", “the original sentiment”!

We need to quit trying to IMPROVE UPON, what God has said in His Word!

God loves sinners and hates sin.

But apart from the shed blood of Jesus no sinner can be separated from his sin.

Maybe we should stop trying to abridge the Gospel to something that fits on a T-shirt.

I like "Hate the sin, love the Sinner" best. Sometimes you have to remember that loving the sinner may and often requires "Tough Love".

    Because He loves them...Of course.

If God says he hates workers of iniquity, I believe him. If God says he loves sinners, I believe him.

Since He clearly and repeatedly says both, I believe both.
