Well, for what it's worth, I've started several threads that I am greatly curious about, but died rather quickly...

This one is on King David:
    http://baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=41601

    This one is on Cessationism:
    http://baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=41176

And lastly, this one on Women in Authority:
    http://baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=41749

I saw a few references too the Women in Authority earlier in this thread and I hope I haven't offended anyone with my posts or theology on the issue!

I've been reading the one on Women in Authority, but you seem to be getting the answers you needed, so I didn't respond. Your thread was not the one that was being referred to -- I can't imagine it was anyway. Not in my case it wasn't. There are several going on. I didn't see yours as offensive in any case.

I've also started threads that didn't get much response. I started one recently about a local coach that died and the impact it had on what I had to tell my husband that evening. It was quite short.

I'm not a biblical scholar. Frequently I read those and don't respond.

I know quite a bit about education and the system, but many times here, those threads are limited to Bible schools and seminaries. I post where I can on them.

I also know quite a bit about churches and how they work, but I'm just a woman who has been on church staff, so how involved I get just depends . . . ;)

Well here you go mk, we can solve that problem by having wading pools in the parking lot. Please y'all remember your proper bathing attire.

Well I guess it depends upon how you view it. For the most part many of these subjects are issues that we, as Christians, need to know how to deal with (UFOs, Ghosts, Drug use, Atheism, etc). On the other hand there are some subjects that seem to be taking up space or there just for arguments sake.

You are having way too much fun....

There has to be a thread about Baptists having fun!

 You are absolutely 100% correct, but I do wonder are Baptists even allowed to have fun? It does invoke feeling, and we all know if we feel something during worship we are doing something wrong....

But, is it always a sin, or did Jesus have fun?

Well, we could argue whether or not we actually had minds to start with. . .

Seriously, not all of us always need deep theological conversation. I, for one, simply enjoy the fellowship on this board. It helps me unwind.
