Healing of the Nations

    [1] And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

    [2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.


    Anybody got any thoughts on the "healing of the nations?"

    Ethnos is the word often translated "nations" and it means people from every part of the globe. During the Kingdom (still coming, cause we sure aren't there now!!) the people will find healing and live for the entire 1000 years!

    Part of the blessing of the Peaceable Kingdom is that sickness and death will be "cured" by the Messiah.

    "Healing" here in the Greek according to Strong's is therapeuo most likely where we get theraputic. This will be necesary as some will go in to this state without the infilling of the Holy Spirit, or glorified bodies.
