Just because some translation choices are ambiguous, does not mean all the choices are ambiguous. The Gehenna of Fire is probably the Lake of Fire.

One other point: Jesus never says nor suggests any saved person might be thrown into either the Lake of Fire or the Gehenna of Fire. OtOH, Jesus says those given to Him will not be cast out!! (John 6:37)

lets try this one more time and see if you can grasp what I am saying.

Let us take Matthew 5:22, "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

The Greek for "hell" here is "γέεννα". Note that Jesus is talking about "brother", which must mean a saved person. Right? Then it must also follow, that this term γέεννα, cannot be in the literal sense, as not saved person is going to any "lake of fine"!

Grasping what you are saying is not the problem, it is the bogus view of loss of salvation.
    The word is (transliterated) Gehenna.
So the bogus view is "brother" refers to a saved person, rather than a genetic relation, the actual meaning as used in this verse.

In the KJV there are three places translated by the word "hell." One of which is the place identified as the lake of fire.

    Matthew 10:28

"Don't be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna"

In verse 1 we read, "He called to Himself His Twelve Disciples". In verse 5, "Jesus sent these Twelve out, and charged them, saying". In verse 16, "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves". And verse 20, "For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you". Verse 22, "You will be hated by all men for My Name's sake". None of this can have been spoken to those who are not "believers".

if you mean any person who has had their sins forgiven, washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ, and indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and BORN ANEW, the answer can only be NO! The term "believer" is too lose.

Probably is noted here for which again has to be defined by how it is used in the verse & context of the message with His help

To make full proof of your testimony, you should have included the verse.

what is your problem? If I don't prefer the term "believer", but rather a saved or born-again Christian, how is this wrong? You are just trying to argue for the sake of it!

dude, you like "believer", and me, I like "born-again", as I believe that it says more! Now tell us what you have to say of verses like Matthew 5:22, where Jesus refers to "brothers" and "gehenna"?
