    Hi, all.

    I'm recently saved after many years of flirting with Christianity. I'm hoping to learn more here, grow my faith, and hopefully spread some good if I can. I see there is a subforum for Independent Fundamental Baptists, so I guess I'll be haunting that one as well as some of the others, as that's the type of church I'm attending.

    I've been a fisher all my life, but I fish for the meat...flathead, crappie, channel, bluegill, bass, sucker, to name a few....

    kyredneck, as far as fishing goes, I'll happily fish anything. Learned as a kid fishing for pumpkinseed, bluegill, crappie; all good in my book. Thanks for the welcome.

    Salty, thank you for the welcome. I'm in the Northeast. Sorry about not getting more specific, but I like to keep my internet fingerprint minimal. I don't even use social media anymore at this point.

    EWF, love to hear it. I also love your username, as EWF features Verdine White, one of the funkiest bass players ever!

    Welcome. As a new Christian, you'd do well to stick to the Fundamental sub forum.

    Sadly, this is an extremely dangerous theological place. It is not a place for growth or fellowship.

    It shouldn't take long for you to realize that this is good advice.

    Your church is where you will grow.

    do not fully agree - it is good to see other opinions - but then base it on Scripture.
    Church is a good place to grow assuming they are Bible based.

    Caught a 5 1/2 lb large mouth when I was about 8 years old. Only bass I ever caught.
