    Glad to be a member of BaptistBoard!
    I look forward to telling my story and engaging in some greate discussion! Since almost a year ago I have been have been looking for a new church home after 20 years of membership at a local Baptist church. I have come through some very difficult issues and have had to wrestle with various ideas with wich, until then, I had no need to confront. Some of these issues were/are KJVO-ism, Calvinism (and determinism... are they really different?), Libertarian Freewill, Universalism, Baptist history, Fundamentalism and more. I think one thing I'm learning is that the essentials are more important now, and the non-essentials are not so important.

    The BaptistBoard.com has been very helpful in educating myself on many of these topics. Thank you!
