    my only hero is Christ.

my beliefs ARE THE Bible. unlike u and ann, i dont pick and choose which of God's verses to like and dislike, i believe all of them... hence where the word, "believer" comes from... satan 'believes' in Christ.. anybody can 'believe'... it takes a man of God to actually believe ALL of the Bible as true.

you and ann prove that you are basically just catholics with another denominational name... u pick and choose what to believe instead of believing it all as inspired by God...

if she keeps attacking me, or if anyone else does, just because i like Cloud, fundamentalism and the KJ, then i will stand my ground. just like i did when she stabbed Cloud in the back and like you are doing now... i'll ask you what i asked her... how many Cloud books have you read? sermons listened to? probably none. your basis for slamming Cloud is ZERO!

i think fine for myself because i have the mind of Christ as commanded in the KJ Bible... you ought to try reading it once in a while... but you have to obey it... you cant just be a hearer of the Word, 'tiny'... you have to be a doer...

thats what separates the men (of God) from the 'tinys' of the world...

Then why did you make criticizing him equal to blasphemy? I think there's an idol there.

You really are a hoot. You know so much about me it's amazing!! You know how I feel about the Scriptures, you know what I believe. Too bad it's all false. ;)

Keeps attacking me? Oh THAT'S rich. Where?? Show me. NOW.

Because you know it all. I remember!

So you are now accusing Tim of not obeying God? You really are unbelievable. Oh guess what?? Having the mind of Christ is not commanded in just the KJ VERSION but the other versions as well. But you wouldn't know that I'm sure since you never read the other versions. Or have you? Nah. David Cloud wouldn't let you, would he?

I have read a lot of Cloud's stuff over the last few yrs.. .and anyone with a little bit of Biblical education can understand that he twists things to uphold his unbiblical doctrine of KJVOism...

Please show me from the Bible where I must use a KJV?

I am very glad to be separated from the Satanic teaching that calls Bibles "perversions"...
Only Satan would say the NIV is not God's word, and cast doubt on all who use it.

BTW... I LOVE the KJV... I grew up with it, when I quote scripture from the pulpit.. it is KJV... because I still USE IT and memorize it!.. but I am educated enough to realize HOW bible versions have been given to us... And I trust God.. not the KJV translators.

    yeh you attacked.

    http://www.baptistboard.com/showpost.php?p=1576485&postcount=30

i was simply posting a website for the folks here who prefer the KJ. and you just had to jump in and spew your silly venom towards me, calling me 'erroneous' and then attack a man (Cloud) who has sacrificed his life for Christ and lost souls. truly pathetic.

no, i dont know you. and i dont want to know you and am glad that i dont know you. i know enough of you by your silly comments here... you need to be 'taking care of your house' as God commanded (Tit 2:5) instead of trying to tell men your 'silly' (2 Tim 3:6) opinion which is based on ignorance of me, ignorance of Cloud and ignorance of the Holy Bible..

if you think the NIV is the Word of God... it makes me realize how thankful i need to be to God for showing me the truth about the true Word of God and thankful not to be sitting in your pews...

saying that ALL versions are the same is the same as saying 'all churches' are the same... but since you do think all churches are created equal... then you think all Bibles are created equal. let me guess, you're also ecumenical and approve of the emerging church?

you like rick warren? graham? shuler? i bet you do.
lets all just get along and unite... right? for the sake of unity and peace..

like i said. catholics with another name.

THAT is attacking?? Um - I so don't think so.

Well, I see the "love of the brethren" abounds here. I am not ignorant of Mr. Cloud nor am I ignorant of the Bible. However, I'm smart enough to not fall for false teaching which the KJVO "doctrine" certainly is. It's unBiblical, ignorant and deceptive to so many. There's going to be some harsh words at judgment because of this. To call the Word of God names - MAN, I am so glad to not be in the shoes of someone who has done that.

I'm going to end my part in this discussion with a copied post from the other thread about David Cloud. It is from ReformedBaptist and I think he has some very wise counsel (I removed the first part of the post since it was applicable to the other thread and not this one):

Is 'BodyOfChrist' a "Baptist" church, and should this poster be allowed to post in "Baptist Only" sections of the BB?

    Just asking.

Yeah, my S.O.P. is to report every post brucebaptist puts up.

So far, he's been incapable of discussion. He's attacked fellow posters, and the word of God. He's castigated churches, pastors, and fellow Christians. About the only one he hasn't attacked is David Cloud...and the adoration he shows that guy borders on the scary.

And he sho' nuff isn't treating some of our ladies here with any respect.

Bruce, do you treat your wife with more respect than you do some of the female posters here? If not, then perhaps signing off for a while and working on some issues could be beneficial.

That is completely asinine and in poor faith. I know of plenty Lutherans who are believing evangelicals. They are no more synagogues of Satan than many Baptist churches today.

That is a bizarre and problematic statement. There are Roman Catholics that know Jesus, even though they are few. There are many, many Lutherans, Methodists, Presbyterians, E.V. Free, Episcopalians, Anglicans, etc. that are in Christ. To group those denominations with JWs and Mormons is unbelievably inappropriate.

I don't think anyone here will argue this. I don't get the problem here.

It is disturbing to me that you say pejorative things like "I believe all the verses in the Bible." The Bible is God's gracious revelation; the story of the beginning and completion of salvation history. It is not a textbook or manual or some other volume to be used in such a combative way.

The proof of your faith in Jesus is in the disciples you make. How many can you name that you are currently discipling?

Make sure that if you do find the perfect church do not join it because you will ruin it, I am quite sure from what I have read in the Bible that you are at least a little less than perfect.

I remember the days when someone came to the church I was pastoring and told some about how the world was going to hell because they did not read the King James Bible. I told him to use his KJV and make disciples. He never won anyone to Christ in the entire time he made trouble. He exposed himself by the disciples he made--zero disciples. Another time there was a man who came and said that he had not found a church which was studying the Bible. I invited him to a Bible study. That night the people were to have read Isaiah and answer the questions. He was overwhelmed and never returned.

I usually find that an empty bag makes the most noise.

It would probably be a good idea to read Hebrew 3:13 and 10:24-25 first before making such a declaration.

(Joh 13:34) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

(Joh 13:35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

(Joh 15:12) This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

(Joh 15:17) These things I command you, that ye love one another.

    (Rom 12:10) Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

(Rom 13:8) Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
    (Eph 4:2) With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

    etc. etc. etc.

    Please note the stated OP

    HAVE WE CHANGED THE MESSAGE?

That is the basic question asked in the OP

By post #5 Brucebaptist had derailed this thread into a versions debate. Therefore I feel the need to close the thread. It is no longer on topic. I believe that nodak, the one who started the thread should start another, and hopefully it will stay on topic.

Bruce, your profile gives no indication that you are a Baptist. Please post in those forums that are for non-Baptists. Failure to do abide by the rules of the forum may result in a suspension.
