For those on the BB who are democrats, or who plan to vote for Obama. . .Here's your chance. Go ahead, tell us WHY you like Obama and want to vote for him, BUT please do so without bashing Bush, republicans, or people who voted for Bush. Can you do it? Can you give us true credentials without pointing fingers at others or complaining about our great country?

All I'm hearing from you Obama supporters is how terrible Bush/McCain/Palin are, how much you hate the war, how America is so bad compared to other countries, etc, etc. OK. . .so, here's your challenge. Give us clear evidence why you want to vote for Obama, without saying anything negative about anyone else. Go for it.

By the way, please keep this thread on track. Thanks.

Thank you KenH. While I disagree with you politically, I appreciate the post.

I supported a republican once. I supported Reagan. After voting for him in 1980 I saw my livelihood evaporate and almost starved to death. The republican idea of economics is to allow the rich and the corporations to have card blanc and this prosperity is supposed to trickle down to those on the bottom. Well, it never made it to me.

My father told me back when I was a young man that the Republicans are the party of the rich. I disagreed with him until Reagan. Now, I support the Democratic candidate, which happens to be Obama. Had Clinton won the nomination, I would be supporting her.

The question is, why do you put your dependence on the President for your livelihood? Was it Reagan's fault that you fell on hard times?

Good point. When money is your security then all other principles even protecting innocent lives is compromised.

I never said it was? But when the presidential policies causes my livelihood to cease, I feel his political party must assume a measure of responsibility.

No, but I feel it was Reagan's policies that contributed to the problem.

Clinton shipped my job to Mexico.

This was after his speech on how there would be no promised tax break for my bracket, rather, a tax increase.

Democrats got us into Vietnam, and made sure we stayed there.

Democrats failed to push a civil rights bill thru, and one democrat senator filibustered the bill for fourteen hours.

Democrats, despite the howling from the left, are dirty up to their eyeballs in the F.M. & F.M. scandals.

It was a democrat who commandeered a bus meant to evacuate the poor out of N.O., and used it to remove ill-gotten booty from his freezer.

It was a democrat who ran home to hide after killing his secretary in a drunk-driving accident.

It was democrats screaming for war with Iraq since '92.

This "republicans are for the rich" is pretty tired. The dems are for criminals.

I was answering why I vote and feel the way I do. I answered the question. If you feel that the democrats are the problem, vote for the republican.

Just like you are free to decide for yourself how and why you vote the way you do, I will do the same. It doesn't matter to me if every single member of the BB votes for McCain, I never will!

I guess I'm just not as righteous and noble as you are.

What I find amusing is that you and your ilk here would not be nearly so quick to attempt to analyze everything I say and find fault if I were not an Obama supporter.

But, regardless, Obama will probably win the election in November! If that happens it must be because God desires Obama to be President of the United States!

You are in the process of being taken for a fool by your candidate.

Thank you. I'd really like for this thread to stay on topic. We can throw rocks on all the other political threads. Let's keep this one mud free on BOTH sides.
