    Hi,
    I'm new.
I'm a 23 year old christian who does not really care much about denominations. Officially I'm protestant but I would also join any other church where the Holy Spirit is moving things cause my church is spiritually dead, which is sad. :(
I was baptized as an infant, but this doesn't really count. If I ever get the chance to be baptized I will definitely do it, but I haven't gotten the chance yet, which is also sad. :(

Welcome aboard the Board, Jimbo. Just make yourself right at home.

Denominations are not of God, but of man. But, they also let you know basically what will or will not be going on/taught within that particular church. Sort of a good thing, sort of not.

    In CHrist,
    Trotter

    Hi fellaz!

    Spiritually dead?
This simply means that there's nothing going on.No holy spirit, you know? There are many dead churches where nothing is going on...

    Welcome Jimbo,
From deep in the heart of Texas. Don't be shocked by the number of posts. One of my best friends is called Jimbo; he's the town character, so I already have a picture of you. Looking forward to your posts so I can REALLY get to know you. [IMG] [IMG]

Hey Jimbo, welcome to the board.

I agree that there are certainley a number of dead churches around which is pretty sad when you consider that the original congregations that planted those churches were quite the opposite. Needless to say they will get a wake up call from those that are Spiritually Hungry in the Christian Community, that or simply close down.

What amazes me is how the church is growing in Russia and China, while in many countries it flounders or is asleep, maybe the answer is to swap some pastors over!!!

I think I will not stay here, sorry guys.
But somebody erases my threads without any reason. 1 normal thread and 1 prayer request from me have disappeared without any reason. I do not want to be at the mercy of a moderator who seems to have a great relish erasing my threads. :(

I just checked my mail and I did not get a PM from you. One thing which is annoying is that you never know if you got new mail, I am used to a pop up shield which shows you that you got new mail but this board doesn't seem to have it.

The board alerts you through your email when a PM is received IF you have that enabled in your profile. You will also have a flashing 'alert' in the upper left corner of your screen on the BB.

You receive notifications of 'moved' topics via your email. You must have that enabled in your profile also.

I am not a moderator in the Prayer Request Forum, but seldom does a thread get deleted there unless 'unsuitable', 'inappropriate', or 'graphic' language is used. We have teen-agers reading these posts...

Um, I am not aware of unsuitable language.

Webmaster deleted your prayer request because it included graphic language concerning areas of discomfort which are not suitable for discussion on this board.

I'm moving THIS thread because the welcome forum is for just that.... not long discussion.

Your PM's are enabled and a notification of each pm will be sent to your hotmail account. Also, the top left of the board, under your name, will flash when you have a new pm. We cannot be responsible for how long it takes hotmail to post the emails. :(
