Wow! What a huge surprise based on what the polls were saying - from an Obama blowout to a Clinton victory. Those of us who study politics have to give credit where credit is due.

She may have just won the presidency today.

I wonder if the ground was softened to give her the same "comeback" monniker that Bill earned.

At any rate, whoever was coronating Obama was hasty to do so. As I have said, Hillary will do whatever she can to win.

It makes no difference. All the democrats are essentially the same.

Well, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Hillary cried because it was calculated, nor is it out of the realm of possibility that it was genuine.

But why the clamor? Tim Russert (on CNBC) just called Hillary's win tonight "the greatest upset in American political history."

Oh come on. Hillary was the front runner for most of the pre-season, and would be considered so in many corners (Iowa not withstanding). This is not like Dodd or Biden or even Edwards won tonight. They make it seem like Ohio State won last night and that it would be tantamount to Appy State's upset of Michigan. I just find it curious, if not befuddling.

I went out on a limb here the day after the Iowa Caucas and called the race for Hillary and Giuliani. I'd like a friendly wager/contest with someone. Perhaps a signature game where the loser has to post with a signature line of the winner's choosing for a week or something. If anyone wants to play PM me and we'll discuss acceptable details.

I was channel surfing last night between the election coverage and the movie Frankenstein Meets the Werewolf. First Hillary came back from the dead, then the werewolf came back from the dead....:sleeping_2:

Yep thats true you did. And it could very well be Hillary v. Guiliani when it is all said and done.

However, if two months ago people would have said that Obama would have beat Hillary soundly in Iowa and barely lost to her in NH, a lot of folks would have called them crazy. I think it is going to be a tight race between the two and Feb. 5th should show us a lot. Even though the polls in NH were off, they are generally not off that much. The polls in many states are pretty close as well as the National polls have it a dead heat. So if nothing else it should be fun.

On the GOP side, I really think Guiliani chose the wrong stategy. I think sitting out of these first few states is going to come back to bite him. I think Romney is still a major player. Huckabee and McCain are as well. Thompson has to win SC (which I do not see him doing) in order to have a shot IMO.

I will stick with my prediction of McCain v. Obama in the end.

How 'bout we play a game? If it's Hillary vs. Giuliani then your signature becomes, "Libertarians rock!" for a week.

If it's McCain and Obama mine becomes, "Conservatives rock!" for a week.

If neither scenario is completely true neither of us is penalized. Interested? :)

OK, question. Does it have to be both people for it to count? I think Hillary still has a great shot at it, I just don't think Guiliani does.

If you want it to be. That was my line of thinking. It's too easy to pick one. What do you think? (Odds are both of us are very safe :D)
