Singing is hard to do. I, for one, would like to see video of Ken singing the N.A. before one of his canine contests.......:wavey:

Oh Yeah , well let's not tempt him.
I do think those beagles would be capable of hitting those high notes though.

She sings better than I do. And I thought the "our" was a nice touch, I like it.

If anyone wants to hear a really beautiful rendition of the National Anthem just tune in to www.bluegrassradio.org about 11:00 p.m. central time each evening and you will hear The Isaacs sing it acapella with wonderful harmonies. :)

I don't have the best voice in the world but I can carry a tune. I think that growing up in the Church of Christ and singing acapella helped in that regard. :)

I don't think that's very likely, since she got the words right. If you saw that one with Hastert, you'll notice he didn't. Maybe it's the first time he sung it, um? Perhaps that's another important difference between republicans and democrats.

You Tube has several celebrity national anthem renditions. One of the best, believe it or not, is the Grateful Dead's version, opening up a S.F. Giants game, in '93. Whitney Houston also has a really good one.

There are also awful ones. I'm not gonna laugh at Hillary, and quite agree with FTR, but Carl Lewis should have never even attempted it. And I guess I didn't smoke enough dope to understand Jimi Hendrix's unintelligible version.(Although I consider Hendrix the absolute king of guitar, by the time Woodstock came around, he was gone)

I think the people who perform it should practice it. But my problems with Mrs. Clinton go way beyond her inability to sing.

Our local radio talk show host likes to play the raucous Hendrix guitar version of the National Anthem on patriotic holidays.

Fortunately, I suggested to him on the latest birthday of the Marine Corps.(he's a former Marine) that he play the Marine Corp. hymn - which he did. :)
