Yes Ken, I am afraid I really do. I base this on their actions and ideas. Socialism has destroyed every country it has ever been tried in. Their opposition to market reform and the fair tax, their support of our burdensom regulatory processes, their support of the creation of an entire class of Americans dependent upon government for their daily sustenance, their taxation of success and destructon of innovation, all of these things have hurt us. When I look at the democratic party and I see their support of the murder of our children, the limits they put on our own energy reserves while bemoning the fact that the middle east holds the world in a stranglehold. I see them bowning down to terrorists, compromising our security. It hurts me.

What bothers me most of all is their treatment of the Iraq war. To me it seems that they want us to loose. We should have won that war and been out of there years ago already. But we want to limit our soldiers ability to defend themselves and use soldiers as construction workers instead of killers. Their errors are so plentiful that I have trouble believing they are based on ignorance alone and instead represent a willful destruction of our nation. Because they lost power I believe that the democratic party (not all democrats mind you, but the party as a whole)would destroy our nation without a moments hesitation if it ment that they could rule over whatever was left. I believe they would rather be princes of some third world, second class state, than citizens of the greatest nation in the world.

I hope I am wrong, I really do. It appears that we are going to have a democrat in the whitehouse next year so we will see.

Hillary's "cure" for the mortgage crisis that I started this thread about is a perfect example. I have trouble imagining how anyone with even a basic understanding of economics could fail to realize how her ideas would devastate both our banking and construction industries. Can anyone really be that stupid?

Perhaps she is, but I don't think so. And perhaps she would never follow through on her proposal. She may have no intention of following through and is only saying these things because she believes they will get her votes. Of course that makes her a lier instead of an idiot. Either way.:tonofbricks:

Your an accountant right Ken? What do you think freezing the interest rates and prohibiting foreclosures will do? Do you think Hillary doesn't?

    Apology accepted.

Actually it is not an opinion but a fact. The majority of your opinions expressed on this board are simply complaints about other posts.

    Good luck with that.

I do not feel compelled to answer posts designed to lead in a direction not revealed up front or to set up for a personal attack rather than disagreeing about ideas. I have an ignore list in my profile and I use it.

The same impact that Richard Nixon's wage and price control plan had. But I don't think that Nixon wanted to destroy the country. He just bought into a bad idea.

    1) Well, I don't think that buying into a bad idea(s) equals wanting to destroy the country on purpose.

    2) Loose what? Or did you mean lose? If you meant the latter I totally disagree. I agree with the basic Democratic Party position on Iraq and I think we won years ago by accomplishing what we set out to do. What remains to be done must is mostly political and only the Iraqis can do that.

    3) I think your partisanship is showing through in spades.
