How surprising that Carter's economic policies only produced dismal results after Reagan changed them.

There aren't many politicians willing to take personal responsibility for their actions.

The thing is though (KenH) Jimmy Carter was on CNN the other night doing Mr George Bush Job.. trying to make Peace & resolve some of the Mess Mr Bush has created between the middle eastern Countries & the USA.
So it looks like to me even as a bad president as your calling him, he is Still being a Better President then Mr. Bush is, isn't he? At Least he is out there meeting with these Coutries Leaders trying to solve some of the mess Bush has created.. Thats More then i can say for George W Bush.

No, he was not. I prefer 2006 over 1980 any day of the week.

Galatian, I know that you are intelligent enough to understand the economic policies take a while before taking hold.

I'm skeptical of the notion that republican policies can't take hold until a democrat has been in office a year or more.

Yes, history has shown that the policies of the Carter administration led to the severe recession of the early 1980's. Anyone who refuses to believe this is either in denial or just being ornery.

Actualliy, the worst recession in recent years was Daddy Bush's. In fact, unemployment under Carter was less than under either Reagan or Daddy Bush.

This is the kind of President we need again & this is the kind we will need to pull us out of the mess Mr. Bush has us in now, if we get Lucky enough to hold on untill Bush is out of office.

    William J. Clinton
During the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history. He was the first Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win a second term. He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and achieved a budget surplus. As part of a plan to celebrate the millennium in 2000, Clinton called for a great national initiative to end racial discrimination.

Both of those men have served in the office of President. And you are comparing a peace time presidency to a war time presidency. Apples to oranges.

If you cannot respect that office - leave.

President Bush did not invite evil muslim terrorists to come over and do a trillion dollars of damage to our economy and murder thousands. I lost my job because of their evil.

He did not invite them over. I did not invite them - did you invite them?

We did not cause any problems between us and ME countries. Muslim terrorists did. If anyone does not get that - they are evil too.

THEIR EVIL . . . WE WERE ATTACKED by a bunch of evil twisted muslims lead by a decrepit old geezer with a perpetual sneer on his face - until President Bush let our military go after him. You don't see his leer anymore . . . and soon he will be caught and punished for his evil.

    Evil is evil.

"Sorry about your Job" But i believe he did ask for them to come over when he took office & stood up making his threats to them. If people can't see that all Bush wanted to be over there for is to do what his Daddy couldn't & to try to control those people, then i feel sorry for you.
And also i have been without a job for about 3 months now, thanks to Bush & his great Job as a War Monger.

:praying: He needs lots of this

muslim extremists are war mongers . . .

you need to quit praying to mohamed and his allah and start praying to God and His Son.

Save your soul while you still can.

I would rather be hungry and free from sin than to be in bondage to sin and pretend to pray . . .

Did you hear me say that the Muslims were alllllllll GOOD People? They are just like us, they have good & bad just the same as America does.
But i fill the 9/11 wouldn't have happen if Bush had kept his threats to himself.

If we have another president like Bill Clinton, then I suggest that we have a guard stay with each of the female interns.

That's a bunch of statistical hooey. I lived through both recessions and Carter's was far and away the worst during my lifetime for the people, even if it may not have been for the faceless statistics.

And if you can't see that you have fallen for a bunch of Democrat poppycock, then I feel sorry for you.

President Bush and the American people were given bad intel and most of us supported the invasion of Iraq back in March 2003.

What threats did President Bush make prior to 9/11/2001?

Please provide the quotes if you aren't just making this up. Perhaps you are correct and I don't recall these quotes. So let's see what you got.

I for one would sure like to know what those threats might be if you can document them, Vera.

Now what CAN be documented is just the opposite - that the Taliban were in Texas meeting with oil company executives shortly before 09/11.

That the Bush family and the Saudi Royal Family have business connections which go back for many years.

That the Quartet, under the leadership of President Bush, has pushed for a Two State Solution in Israel under the Road Map, giving the Palestinian (mostly muslim) people Israeli land for peace.

And, President Bush has done more positive public relations for the religion of islam than any other US President in History, helping muslims to get an EID stamp (back when he was Governor of Texas), inviting muslims to bow down to allah the moon god in our White House, inviting muslims for special ramadan celebrations and prayers, having many muslim friends and advisors (such as Grover Norquist), meeting with muslims from all over the world including the US in the White House, but most of all, promoting islam as a "peaceful religion" to the American people while muslims around the world prove it isn't by their actions on a daily basis.
