    This is a good time to recall the infinite sacrifice of Christ for us.

    God's blessings as we meditate on the sacrifice of Christ "once for all" Hebrews 9, Salvation at "what cost"?

    And also reflect on the sobering thought that the one true church started by God at Sinai embraced so much error over time that it could instigate the crucifixion of its own Messiah - the Christ "For Salvation is of the Jews" and yet - what inroads of error were made.

    A sobering thought as Paul says to the NT saints "IF He did not spare the natural branches NEITHER will He spare you" Romans 11.

    How can we neglect so great a salvation.

    Just as the world - and even "The church" was fully in darkness at the time of His first coming - so at the time of the end "Just as in the days of Noah.. no one knew until the flood came and took them all away" Matt 24.

    Let us wake up and see the sacrifice of Christ in all its fullness.

    In Christ,

    Bob

    Bill,

    You've inspired me to offer you, and anybody else here on the board (Catholic or non-Catholic), a free CD by my wife's choir Voci del Tesoro which includes the beautiful Gabrielli Missa Brevis Mass (consisting of the 5 sung parts of the Ordinary including the Gloria). No gimicks, no tricks, no scams, and I'll even pay the shipping. Yes, today there really is a free lunch! [IMG] I'm just in a giving mood in thanks for the gift beyond imagining that we've all been given.

    Anybody who's interested just send me an email.

    Mike

    Lord, grant me the serenity
    to accept the things I cannot change,
    the courage to change the things that I can,
    and the wisdom to know the difference.
    Living one day at a time,
    enjoying one moment at a time;
    accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
    taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
    not as I would have it;
    trusting that you will make all things right
    if I surrender to Your will;
    so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
    and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
    Amen.

    Christ has no body now but yours;
    No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
    Yours are the eyes with which he looks
    Compassion on this world.
    Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good.
    Yours are the hands with which
    he blesses all the world.
    Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
