How many guesses do we get?

 

I will tell you a story that happened to me a few months ago. You can choose to believe it or not, that is up to you. It still leaves me in awe when I think of it.

One evening I was with some of our church members helping out at a ministry to the homeless and we were distributing supper. There was a long line, several hundred people or so. I felt compelled to start giving away hugs along with each meal box to each homeless person, wondering when the last time was each person in line had had a hug. (Yes, I needed a huge, huge, long hot shower when I came home..) There was a young man in line and I gave him a hug, too. I had never seen him before in my life and have no idea what his name is. I gave him a hug. He hugged me back and whispered in my ear these words, "God bless you, Mrs. ___(my name)." I believe he might have been an angel. Have only told a couple of people about this encounter. Strange, but true....

We never know when we might serve an angel a hot supper.

 

So you're saying that we shouldn't ever give anyone who is needy because the NEXT person might be needier?

 

No I am saying seek God's wisdom..

Don't just throw money away.. give it to the NEEDY.. not someone just wanting a handout.

There are plenty of needy.. and if we waste the resources God has given us, then we can't help the needy.

Many church hop for handouts..
And hit many churches at a time..

Poor people can be Greedy too.
