What a great example of politics as usual. The Dems ram this bill through in less than 24 hours with no debate and no amendments. If ever a bill needed vetoing its this one. (If it gets by the Senate) We will be much better off to just let the bans expire.

Yet One More Reason to Recall Every Legislative Official

The most recent Pelosi 3 Shell game gives us one more reason to toss out all the "bums" in Congress and Senate. We deserve so much better.

The financial problems on Wall Street are not the fault of the Bush administration. Let's be honest with this crisis and place the blame at the feet of those who are truly at fault: If Americans were irresponsible for taking out bad loans, than the corporate giants on Wall Street need to be faulted for "Over Extending" their balance sheets; playing fast and loose with our deposits of trust.

    Democrats
    Still Aren't Serious
    About Drilling

    By JOHN SHADEGG

After a five-week paid vacation, Democrats are back in Washington and claiming that they want to do something about oil prices.
But the problem is that their plan, which passed the House yesterday and will likely come up for a vote in the Senate later this week, will not produce a single drop of oil.

    snip

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told her members in August that they can say they are in favor of drilling, but that she wouldn't allow a vote on a drilling bill. Now that she has been forced to, she knows her environmental allies will block new drilling from going forward.
