I already did that point by point in the "President-elect Obama Marxist?" thread (which spurred this thread). See posts 63 through 73 here: http://www.baptistboard.com/showthread.php?t=54973&page=7

I see no one seriously wants to discuss the issues raised in this thread either. So I assume we are just to come away from here understanding that it is just wrong to refer to President-elect Obama as a Socialist. We should not call him a Socialist even though his political record, stated positions, pholosophies, and ideas are well documented as Socialist, and the fact he has well documented (by his own books) associations with avowed communists and socialists. Well sorry, until someone can convince me using evidence from primary sources with links that Obama is not a Socialist I am going to refer to him as such.

I certainly hope that President-elect Obama is a socialist. So am I as I support programs such as Social Security and Medicare.

I do not regard it as a stigma to be called a socialist. :)

    No debate here.

    A spade is a spade!

I call him a socialist also, but it sure sets some on the offensive..... and thinking gives 'em headaches.

Some folks are enough pain without causing them more.
