    Walked.. .

They sure didn't drive, fly, ride a train, or ride a bus.

They probably came through Russia, into Alaska, past Palin's house.... lol

I'm pretty sure they migrated from Asia accross a frozen bridge to Alaska then filtered down through the contenants.

That certainly is one popular theory. Another I read about was that polenasians, who were great sailors, sailed to South America and settled there. Maybe both theories are correct.

I really don't know. Contrary to what my kids say, I wasn't there at the time.

Probably by some period of migration, with segments of the population settling along the way. How they got here may be in question... that they were her before the Europeans is not.

Yikes... would you migrate to Russia???

A more southern trek would seem more reasonable (I wanna go where it warm!)

I think you can trace the genetic markers.

By the way I was rethinking the question and now I'm wondering if I misunderstood it.

Indians got to America by flying primarily. Most of them were sponcered by our information technology business using the american immigration rules to bing in cheap trained labor have our people train them then fire the american employees and highered the cheaper indian labor for tech systems. Most of these brought their families over. Also there are Indians, Like the Patels and the Khans, that have a family fund that specializes in raising money to bring extended family members over to be trained in such things as the medical field etc... Once they're established they stay some go back but they put a percentage of their earnings into the family immigration fund....

You know? You just might have a point here. He did not specify just which peoples he was asking about.

BTW, What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Should this subject be under the All Other Discussions Thread? I just can't see this as a Baptist thing.

Historically, they are traced back to China, country of origin, migrated through Russia and crossed over the ice-covered straight between Russian and Alaska and migrated from there south and east.

    Cheers,

    Jim

So the earliest american settelers could not listen to rock music because of Tipper? Or they were prohibited from making fires due to their carbon footprint?

See Nephi 1:17-18, wherein the writer (Nephi) was commanded by God to build a ship. He did so and crossed the Atlantic with his father, Lehi, his two sons Lemuel and Laman, and some other people. After that they spread out over the continents, were visited by Jesus Christ, fought a lot of wars which the Lamanites mostly won, buried some golden plates and waited for the Pilgrims to arrive.
