How Do You Know if God Refering to Isreal Or Church In Prophecy?

    What rukles do you follow to be able to determine when God means Isreal in prophecy, and when He met the Church?

    Do you have a for instance? Are you talking about OT or NT? However, I would think a general rule of thumb would be if the text says Israel it means Israel unless there is an overwhelming reason to think otherwise.

    Like 144,000 mentioned in revelation... Jewish believers in messiah, or symbolic of those in Church Age?
    a literal amount or just "large number"?

    Aw, I thought they were Jehovah's Witnesses.

    Seeriously, Israel means Israel, best I can tell.

    Since I'm not a Dispy, the Church Age alternative is not a viable one for me.
