I left this board for 2 weeks!!!

I had decided to return to the board after I got things taken care of in my family, but after seeing how much stress was aleviated by not posting here, or reading here, I have decided to leave permanently.

    Helen AITB,
Thank you for your sincere and thoughtful expressions of your faith. You are an example to us all.

    Singer,
Thank you for constantly reminding us of what simplicity is, and giving us a view of the pleasure of living in the Grace of God.

    Neal,
May God Bless you and keep you and your wife as you continue in your service for Him, may you always walk in truth and in purity with your eyes stayed on Him. Thank you for your insights and wisdom.

    BobRyan,
It has been interesting to see our common faith contended for here. I was glad when I saw that I was not alone. May God always hold you in His hands, and may you always be in search for truth.

    Abyiah,
Your sweet spirit and kind posts always made my day, I will truly miss reading your posts.

    Carson,
For a brief moment there I thought of you as my friend. It saddened me when I realized that you were not. I pray that God will bless your efforts in reaching people with truth, that is, if you are able to find it yourself.

    DHK,
I have but one thing to say to you.

    God Speed.

To the moderators of this forum, who watched me as I posted things that are clearly in disagreement with the Baptist faith, THANK YOU for never banning me. You are a credit to the freedoms that we still enjoy in this country. May God Bless you all.

Thank you to all who I did not mention for the thought provoking, lively debate. It was truly enjoyable, when it wasn't making me sick to my stomach! [IMG]

    Jah Bless you all,
    and Good Bye.

    Kelly,

You're probably the wisest of us all for taking a permanent departure from the board. My Lenten fast from BaptistBoard.com proved a positive experience as well. [IMG]

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may he make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his countenance towards you and give you his peace.

    Kelly,

I am glad you found that time to be a blessing and I applaud your decision to let this rest as it brings more stress than light to your walk.

A board like this is very - very challenging and the ever-present temptation is to "put christianity on hold and just blast away at someone that differs with your point of view". Clearly God is not asking us to do that - but it is human nature.

In addition - there is a lot posted with a closed mind and heart - rather than "a love of the truth". Also - just human nature and has nothing to do with which denomination is posting.

Kelly if you follow God's leading you may find that He seldom if ever leads to a debate or argument with others. Colossians 4 says to pray constantly so that you might have a word in due season - with salt as it were - so you might know "how to respond to each person with a word".

A fascinating experiment in prayer and probably works best outside of a debate-board context.

    In Christ,

    Bob

    Kelly,

You need to be complimented for your departing kind words to
everyone. I can appreciate the gain in quality of your life by exiting
this board. I'm thinking down those same lines, and I will not be
    missed.

It's a shame that there are no pat answers in the game of religion.
I've longed for that for 40 plus years and was hoping that internet
would offer some solutions. No so. The bible allows itself to be
(correctly ??) read in more than one way. That's a complete mystery
to me. I'm assured of my own beliefs, but would like to see more
unity amongst christians. Guess that will never happen.

I'm content to know that I had the simple truth before coming here
and I'm now more assured that I don't need to find and cling to someone
else's system with the idea that I would better myself.
It's almost comical to read of all the staggering opinions on topics
I never even dreamed of as being an issue. Almost....I say !

The study of God's word (as on this board) should not be confusing,
agitating, stressful or downright depressing ......but it is. I felt the
same thing in churches I've visited. I can't explain what it is, but it
isn't good. And NO, it wouldn't help to change churches. I'm not seeking
a visible church and a change of menu. I know where my salvation lies; as
    you do also.

Salvation is fact .........Before, During, After or In Spite Of an earthly church.
(But then not everyone agrees with that either) :(

    God Bless ya Kelly
    Go in peace.

    Your friend,
    Singer

    Dear 3AM,

I often take long stretches away from the boards. I know how you feel, though. Our precious Lord taught me much about how much "I" there was in my posting. [IMG]

May Yah bless you abundantly (and He will).

    Praise Ye Yah \o/

    Love you, GH (Diane)

    When God Whispers Your Name

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then, when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.
