I am a youth leader here in Southern West Virginia. And my pastor is very involved in the youth and with the youth. I was wondering how many pastors are involved with their youth. What are you doing to be involved? What are you doing to influence them? What are you doing to reach them?
    Love to hear some responses!

In four churches in recent history of my life,

One makes an appearance now and then.

Two others leave it to the youth minister to deal with it.

The fourth, there isn't a youth group formed necessarily yet.

    my pastor is somewhat involved...

However, when I got here, he was quite involved, but we were a church of 200.

Now, we're a church of 750, and we're undergoing a major building project--he has enough to do.

I try to stay as involved as I can. Although I am sensitive to ever trying to seem like I am trying to run the youth ministry. But I keep up to date on whats going on and stay involved with the lives of our youth.

Our pastor is leading the youth group. The last leader moved out of state, and now he wants to lead it.
