I don't know. I'm not sure I can resist the sometimes overwhelming Compulsion to see if some speck of logical reasoning will squeeze through and make a difference.
Waite a minute!!! Have we lost our mind? There is no such thread at this time yet it is being discussed. AAAUUUUGGGGHH!

Do you know why I am hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop.

If you notice it is always those who have no biblical grounds to stand on that start the attacks because they are upset for being exposed. So I guess the answer to your question is as soon as these people are exposed as not having a leg to stand on biblically and turn to accusations and name calling.
Confess and forsake and the wrong behavior will go away as driugs only mask the real problem.

Your statement is ridiculous, and you are in complete denial.

There are no biblical grounds for cancer, diabetes, strokes, but they still exist.

My statement is ridiculous! Are you sure you read what you just wrote as it has absolutely nothing to do with behavior issues? Like I said it is ALWAYS those who have no biblical standing that start the attacks and then they cry foul when the favor is returned.

You have not "exposed" anything except your ignorance of mental illness and your lack of compassion for others.

Not to mention your arrogance and self righteousness!

Illnesses of the brain are no different from having cancer, diabetes or strokes.

It's a good thing you are not really a doctor.

Like I said when the attackers have nothing to back up their claims from the bible they go to personal attacks.

Behavior is not illness of the brain. Behavior is choice which stems from the heart made due to a spiritual perspective (Mat 15:19). The cure for that is not drugs, but confessing and forsaking.

You and the "reality therapy choice theory" folks (think Dr. Phil) were proven just as frail as Fraudulent Frued.

Have you worked with folks who are autistic?

Have you worked with folks who have tourette syndrome?

Have you worked with folks who have schizophrenia?

Have you worked with folks who have had a psychotic break?

It is doubtful from your lack of empathic posts and understanding of the conditions.

Each of these are treated with BOTH medication and therapy. Some will never be able to gain full freedom from medication help, and some will with maturation of body and mind along with understanding of the Word come to a point in which medications are "self" regulated as needed. Some will never get to the point of "self" regulation, for the chemistry of the brain is lacking certain mixes to perform properly without help.

Truly medical therapy and counseling go hand in hand in the sever cases.

You are denial of the facts, and of course anyone in denial will always deny they are in denial. That is part of the denial rationalization.

[SIZE=+0][SIZE=+0]Dr. Phil is not a Christian and does not even suggest what this is about so you are again stating things that are false. This is biblical based and behavior is a spiritual issue which requires confession and forsaking. The bible never comes close to suggesting the taking of drugs for a spiritual condition.
I have no problem with your view if you can show me just one instance in all of scripture where someone is directed to using drugs to handle a behavior problem.

An expert opinion from the Nouthetic school that requires no competency from its practitioners, no anticipated outcome for its patients, espouses confrontation as a best practice, accepts a self-published reference as its only source for medical credibility and believes leaving a hurting person to lie in their own excrement as bringing glory to God.

That's a dirty little secret you should've kept to yourself. Narcissistic brow beating hidden behind an injudicious application of Scripture is not truth. Exploiting the weak to bolster a personal perception of piety is not counsel.

    And so, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

    If the behavior is sin.

There is a difference between behavior and mental illness.

Some behavior that is caused by mental illness is uncontrollable without medication.

Sort of like the bible. By the way that is what they follow instead of the secular road. Confess and forsake as drugs only mask the truth while God's way sets us free.
