    A friend of mine is in TN and I've seriously thought of asking my husband about moving there. Hopefully there will still be at least one home empty on her street if/when we do. Beautiful area with a dear friend as a neighbor from the start would NOT be a bad thing!

    Granny answers: Hiya Salty - my Army dad did 2 tours of Korea in the '50s. We never got to go overseas, but to an 18y/o, Alaska seemed foreign enough, lol.

    Daddy was stationed near Fairbanks, Ft Wainwright, '65. Others include Ft Meade, MD - Ft Bragg, NC - Ft Gordon, Ft Benning GA - Ft Polk, LA - Ft Bliss, TX - Ft Lewis, Ft Lawton, WA. California (non-military move) includes San Diego, Lomita, Wilmington, Victorville. Mississippi (non-military) includes my hometown, Brookhaven. Settled in Louisiana as an adult and absolutely love it.

    Dad worked on Cougar Mt at a Niki Missile base, whate'er that was, lol, when we lived in Issaquah WA. I met my beloved at Ft Polk; we were wed after a 3-wk courtship which lasted 45yrs. He passed away in June.
