How many tries did ya'll need before you got your permitt?

    I tried three times for my driving permitt, and today I finaly got mine! {Pray for my poor town! Everyone will now have to stay off the sidewalks!) And I wondered, if how many times it took ya'll? My neighbor said she took hers twice, and a friend of mine from school got hers the second time, my dad got his first first try, and so did my friend Jason, from church. Do guys just make natural drivers or something?! Did any of you need as many tries as me, or more?

    I never took Driver's Ed, hence, no permit. But on my 18th b-day, I only had to take the driver's test once, which really surprised me, cuz I was soooooooooo nervous. :D

    got my permit on my first try; in NY all you have to do for a permit is take a simple written test. I just missed one question--it had something to do with blood alcohol content. LOL, I didn't really pay much attention to that section of the drivers manual since I'm not planning on doing any drunk driving. [​IMG]

    yep, same with me... it's just a written test for your permit, so i only needed the one try.

    Got the permit on the first try at 15 1/2. Got the license on the first try at 16.

    Got the permit on the first go at 15 and 8 months (had been in driver's ed for about two weeks, I guess, so I just read the manual a few times), and the license on the first go at 16 (on my actual birthday.

    Abby, are you in any sort of driver's ed program, at school or somewhere?

    I took drivers ed last year, but because I was too young for my permitt, I'm just now getting my driving in for the class. I got in two hours this morning. I guess I'm the only one that needed three tries on the written... :(
