I always enjoy a good sense of humor. It lightens the mood on here sometimes. I may still be a babe, but I kick myself thinking of how long God drawed me, but in my stubornness, I would not heed the call. I was 36 when He saved me, but I was close to 16 when He first drawed me......lot of wasted years, if you ask me, lot of wasted years.......

Wow, had no idea how many geezers are on here  J/K

12 years for me, January of 2000. I recited a half hearted prayer at age 9 but it wasn't real. The real thing happened just after my 22nd birthday.

I was saved when I was 13 at Verde Heights Southern Baptist Church, Tucson Arizona. I listened to the Pastor's sermon that particular Sunday and knew I was so lost, knew I needed to ask God for forgiveness and accept Jesus as my Savior....and I went down the aisle during the invitation hymn with tears streaming down my face.

My parents were confused....my Dad was a deacon there, and my Mom was in the choir and church secretary/treasurer, and both has served on numerous committees. They thought I had been saved already...but I knew I wasn't.

So I have been saved for 46 years. :godisgood:

March 17, 1957 so that is 54+ years ago.

God is so good to choose me and redeem/regenerate me. If ANYONE should have continued religiously to hell in opposition to God, it was me.

WOW we just hit the 921 years mark not quite to Methusealh's age but getting close.

Think about that we have folks in churches who have been saved for many many years and yet it is all just fleeting in comparrison to eternity.

You can add 40 years to your total!

Don't remember the date as I was a 7 yo child at the time. (hmm, you might have to make that 39 1/2 years cause I won't be 47 for another month)

We just passed Methuselah and hit 1064 years for those who responded in Christian life, experience and study. Just think of each and every church of born again believers and the number of years there are in many of those. Yet we see churches splitting, unforgiving spirits and battles over meaningless cosmetic remolding projects to the point of splitting churches.

We as Chrisitans and those of us with many many years of Chrisitan life, study and experience have a responsibility to set the example. I believe we find Paul saying not to go to law with a brother but rather be willing to be defrauded than to bring a bad name to the Lord.

Same applies in our churches and even here. We need not let our tempers flair when someone attakcs our view. After all they have a right to have an opinion and this is a place to debate. Debate means discussing the issue, and we may not convince our opponent but our attitude may or may not convince others. Let's be civil so we don't bring shame on the name of Christ and the church. Most of us are mature believers or should be.

AMEN brother....instead of pointing fingers at each other, let's look upward and praise the One who provides every good thing. If I have offended any, please, this is an apology. Forgive me. Don't walk away angry and hurt. It is awful when that happens in a church family, and it is awful when that happens here.
