They can make adjustments to the phrase to their understanding of each word as they feel necessary. You will soon have a version of the original that has no similarity to it in any shape or manner.
Now doesn't it stand to reason that the original note is the true source of it's original meaning?

The trouble with these ideas of yours is that you treat the KJV ( in any of its multiplied forms ) as the original , it is far from that . You seem to think that the MV's are based on the KJV . Further , that these MV's have watered-down what the KJV retains in a purer form . That is patently untrue .

Do you honestly think that the average user of a modern version has the mindset that only their particular version is the only correct one ? I don't think MV users have the "cold dead hands" attitude .

This is why the Gideons have a printing press and distribute only Gideon Bibles in the KJV. They can not do this with a MV as they would have to pay royalties to what ever printing house marketed a MV.

That may be the case in America, but not here. I know the Gideons distribute the NIV, and possibly other modern versions too. In fact it seems it is not even the case in America; at least I came across the website of a KJVO church in the U.S. that states that they had "had to stop supporting and promoting the Gideons, who were doing a great work of putting the Bible in hotels, prisons, schools, etc." because "the Gideons have fallen to the pressure to print the newer Bible versions."
