How often do you go to the movie theater?

Hardly ever... Time.

 

Once or twice a year ....Maybe

 

Hardly ever, it's been years.

I wait until the movies come out on video.

 

More often, with the kids now old enough. Still, it's only every now and then, there's just so much junk out there. DH and I usually wait for the video if it's something the two of us want to see, and if we wait long enough, it'll be on TV anyway.

Not as frequently as we like, since we usually combine it with a meal out and turn it into a romantic evening for two. The problem is usually arranging babysitters for the kids. The last film we saw was Stardust; we were going to go out to the cinema next Wednesday but really there is nothing decent showing so will settle for a meal.

I go once and while. Normally I will only make the trip to a movie theater when there is something I really want to see playing. I think the last movie I went to see was the Nativity (last Christmas). Or was it Amazing Grace? I don't remember, but it has been some time.

 

I frequent the movie house a couple times a month at least.

I am a smuggler............... I bring my own candy!

 

I identify with the poster who said that the expenditure of time prevented much movie-going. Pastoring didn't allow room for it; my current roles as foundation executive and adjunct professor and interim pastor don't allow room for it. And by the time, at my age, I settle down for a couple of hours, I fall asleep anyway. Might as well do that at home where I do not have to pay for my nap!

I am reminded, however, that some argue that if you want to understand our time and our culture, you must experience the media. Way back when I was a campus minister at the U of Ky, two of the other campus ministers (NOT us hyper-active Baptists) went to the movies a couple of times a week so that, they said, they could be exposed to what the students were seeing. Hmm, did they have an expense account for that?

How long has it been since my wife and I have been to the movies? I am not sure, but I hear that they now have sound and color! :laugh:

 

Usually wait for video, I think we've been twice this year, maybe.

 

One of my favorite activities to take my wife on a date. :thumbs: Yes, we still date.

 

At most, I go twice a month when I am at work because they pay for it. Sometimes, they don't, so I don't go.

 

I go when there is something I really want to see. I will probably go see Iron Man when it comes out next year. I caught all of the Lord of the rings, Star Wars, and Xmen at the movies. Spiderman 1 & 2. Daredevil.

I don't go a lot, but I do go.
