Saggy asked us how old we are. I'd like to know how old do you feel?

Do you feel younger or older than your chronological age and does it depend on the circumstances of day?

I usually feel younger than 48. Except for today. It's Spring Break and I slept 'til 9:30 which is something that I never do, not even on Saturdays. This morning, I felt every muscle ache and could have sworn that I, like Rip Van Winkle, had slept 20 years.

    Ouch!!!

    How old do YOU feel?
    ...........................................................

Well, darn it, it seems that I am not smart enough to make a poll!!! I am REALLY functioning older than my chronological age today!! :tonofbricks:

I feel younger than my 45 years except when my arthritis flares. Then I feel about eighty in my bones, but the rest of me wants to keep on doing the younger stuff! How's that for a contradiction?

I'm 44 and definitely feel younger. I was just on a retreat with a bunch of women and roomed with women who are within 10 years older than me (one was 48, two were in their early 50s) and I was the only one who could take the bed against the wall because I was the only one who could climb. LOL There are times when my body tells me that I'm aging but honestly I feel like I'm in my 20s or 30s - and am often told I look like it too. :) I've been blessed with young skin and with my horseback riding and such, I'm still agile enough to do most whatever I want to do. I DO feel stiff if I sit too long but that's pretty normal, I'd gather.

I am 70 and I have thought about this question. I know I get tired quicker then when I was younger ... and yet I can still hike ten miles a day in hilly country. I wish I could go back for a day and see what I really felt like when I was in my 20's. They maybe I could really answer the question.

I walked up six flight of stairs over the weekend, the elevator was on the fritz. I was surprised, a much younger women was far ahead of me when I started. I did not climb the stairs at what I consider a quick pace and yet I reached the top the same time she did ... and she was exhausted ... I was not exhausted, I wasn't even tired.

Like Ann I do feel stiff if I sit long on the floor. I love to watch small children. Their bodies are so great. They can do things without even thinking about it that would really put a hurting on me.

    All-in-all I feel very blessed.

I'm 72, and there are times during the day when I feel it.

I have learned that I can take a nap at any time of the day, and still have no trouble sleeping at night.

However, I have found that my bladder requires less sleep that I do, so when it awakes, so do I. Maybe that explains the daytime naps.

I have also learned that when I kneel down to pick up something I have dropped, I'll look around to see if there's anything else that needs doing while I'm down there.

There is no question that I feel every bit of 83. I even think my IQ has dropped to that level. I walk about 20 steps and must stop and wait for my legs to catch up.

I went to look at a decent car the other day and the chap wouldn't sell it to me at any price. He said I would be a threat on the road. Reason: It was a standard. He figured my age would prevent me from reacting in an emergency. I guess my age does show........lol.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Today at work I told someone "When Superman need a little boost he steps into a phone booth and puts on his JOHN SUIT" (I'm John).

Now if I can just convince myself. :tonofbricks:

    I'm 48
Physically I feel about 60. (bad knees, bad shoulder, bad back, . . . .)
Mentally I refuse to grow up.

I think I feel younger. There is still so much I want to learn and do and sometimes - just sometimes - I come up short thinking that there just may not be enough time left to do all that I want! How in the world can that be?
