Is there a way to killfile people on web based boards like there is on Usenet?

Most here have been nice and kind, with the exception of 1 or 2 people.

Thank you for your kindness. Most here have been like Christ to me and I appreciate this.

Hi. When you figure it out, please add me to your ignore list. Thanks. I'm by no means a KJV'er, but I'll not tolerate this attitude.

:tear: This spirit that you are demonstrating on this forum is not of Christ. You've been very mean-spirited to every KJV'er here, asking them not to reply to your posts. And then when they ask why, and attempt to explain that not all KJV'ers are like what you have experienced, you get upset with them. This is not of Christ my brother. I will pray for you. :tear: :praying:

    Re

If I stereotyped you I am sorry. But in all honesty I believe that you are taking my quotes out of context.

But since you are a veteran here and I am not. Nothing I say has any value here.

    But what you say does.

    So I cannot speak

I'm not a veteran here. I've only got a few more posts than you. But I've been on many message boards, and I know the way that forums work. I'm extremely saddened by what I'm seeing here.

Well, I'm sad to see that with so little time you feel this way about some of our posters. I thoroughly enjoy almost everyone here and have learned a tremendous amount from even those with whom I don't agree.

IMHO the best way to block a poster is just not to read their posts. The choice is yours, but I would appeal to you to be a bit more open minded here and get to know everyone a tad better than has been possible in a few days.

Well there is a difference between constructive advice and non constructive. Some of the people here (I can think of 3 people) do nothign of the sort to be anythign remote of constructive.

I ask for advice, I thank them, and then they try and say I was rude in their KJV only forum. Yet do not take responsibility for the 2-3 times I was falsely acused of pasting a non KJV only translation there, when I was only pasting in the KJVR (red letters). The do no not want to take any responsibility for their rudeness.

But nevermind lets not go there. No need too, because I have and will forgive these people for their rudeness and critical spirit towards me.

Well, I've read a lot of the posts where you asked for advice and you got it and it wasn't rudely or critically given IMO. In some threads you got confrontational. Discussion is going to come from many directions.

Which leads me back to . . . Please don't make mountains out of molehills or take offense where none is meant. Even if it is meant, turn the other cheek and go on. We don't have to defend ourselves. Say what you need to say in love and humility.

This sounds like a personal squabble to me, so let me offer this piece of advice:

If you will look at the top right hand corner of each person's post besides your own, you will see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. Click that on the offending posts and then write to your friendly neighborhood moderator or administrator and then let them do their job if you cannot handle this yourself in private. There is not, however, any good reason to air this out in public, IMO.

The bold and underline is added by me. Believe me, this Board's Mods and in particular this forum's Mods will respond to any alerts sent them. You may not like our response but we will respond. FYI, the Administrative Council frowns on presumption of a Mod's duty. If your question applies to this Board then it's presumptous. If it does not apply, then I strongly suggest you clarify its intent.

Also, remember that it is easy to misconstrue intent and meaning from just typed words. You lose voice inflection, nuance and other clues about the intent of the communication on boards like these.

I also enjoy the discussions with even those with whom I strongly disagree. I try to debate without getting too cranky or disagreeable.

    Blessings to you!
