Hello. My name is Jamey Tucker, president of "The ACTS Network", a video ministry producing news and feature segments to be used in church worship.

I have posted this announcement already on the "Introduce Yourself" board before I found this forum.

I have produced a video segment for churches on how Christians should respond to the tragedy on the coast. I interviewed refugees who've lost everything. I also interviewed a church pastor about the opportunity to minister to these people, not only helping them with their physical needs but their spiritual needs.

Bottom line is we have perhaps the best opportunity to share the Gospel than at any other time in our history, including post 9-11.

Because of this, I am offering this video segment to any church who wants to share it with their congregation, free of charge. All I ask is that if you use the video, e-mail me to let me know you did.

God bless each of you as you minister to people and perhaps try to answer some very difficult questions.

You can download the video at our website.

    In His grip,

    Jamey Tucker
    The ACTS Network

Well, I am appalled by the lack of Christian TV networks broadcasting any ministry and aid to the victims of Katrina. I have read in some Christian postings that this "act of God" was righteous judgment of the Creator on the sinful city of New Orleans and all its inhabitants.
It angers me to know that some Christian TV networks are constantly talking about how they are taking the gospel around the world via satellite and when you turn on their stations this week, when the nation's worst disaster has occurred, they are showing programs like Benny Hinn or Kirk Franklin or some TV preacher (their regular scheduled 'stuff') instead of aiding the homeless and taking time to show the love of Christ to people in need (in person) and broadcasting what is needed!!!
ABC news DID show First Baptist Church in Gulfport MS tonight, but never identified it as such.
I agree with you Jamey, this is an excellent time to show what Christian love and concern is all about.....let's see some of it.

The Baptists actually are down there feeding the victims in the Astro Dome. They prepared hot meals - over 5000 of them at one time for the first victims to arrive there. Baptists have been very active during this catastrophe. You may not hear about it if you don't watch cable news. I'm sure when we go to church on Sunday, there will be announcements of where to send items that are needed and there will be a collection center to collect needed items and money.

Thank you for your work, Jamey. I will move this thread to the Pastoral Ministries section of the board so the Pastors will be sure to see it there.

    God Bless You.

I changed the title to one more "catchy", hoping many will visit and download.

Thank you for this ministry. I was watching Greta on Fox news tonight and the SBC spokeswoman at the Astro Dome has said they are spending up to 4 million dollars to supply free phone and other electronic services to the refugees to contact loved ones to let them know they are ok. They are also going to install these services at the San Antonio and Dallas shelters. (This is in addition to feeding people).
