    Hmmm...lets see?

Isnt it true that Obama does favor unrestricted abortions, which is, in fact, terrorizing the unborn?

Isnt it true that Obama is advocating normal relations Cuba, and lifting the trade embargo, thus making Castro one of his "commie buddies"? (I wont even bring up his willingness to sit down at the table with Iran, korea, ect)

As far as "Odrama", isnt it true that Obama just this week is still trying to keep the anti-Bush drama going by releasing lots of documents that the Bush administration had kept secret for national secruity reasons? Isnt that a little over dramatic? After all, he already won the election, why is he still after Bush? Does he crave the spotlight and the drama?

I would say that when a president supports such radical policies as Obama, such as abortion, gay rights, negotiating with rogue leaders, raising taxes under the quise of lowering them (which makes it a lie), socialist government control of our banks, health care and major corporations, and so farth,,,,that he opens himself up to opposition.

    Just my opinion

Opposition is fine, like we progressives tried to tell you guys during the previous administration Opposition is patriotic. It is ridiculous, childish tactics that get you no where. Let's have civilized and mature debate.

Progressives? There you go again implying that you are so much more advanced than we are. Do you really think that supporting abortion and gay rights makes you smarter than Bible believing Christians?

Instead of moving ahead, or "progressing" as you imply, we need to return to the conservative, God fearing country we once were....

We need to regress, not progress.

Here is the wikipedia article on "social progressive"

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_progressivism

Social progressivism is the view that social mores, human nature, and morality is not fixed throughout history but is revisable. It is assumed for example that marriage, family, gender roles, and gender identity, are socially constructed. Social progressives are often secularists who believe that science and rationalism render traditional beliefs obsolete.

So, there is no fixed standard of morality? I thought that was what the Bible is. Social progressives must not believe the Bible if they think it is based on "traditional beliefs" and is "obsolete".

Current issues associated with social progressivism in the Western world include legal recognition of same-sex marriage, contraceptives, embryonic stem-cell research and abortion.

This doesnt sound like a Christian to me.

Go burn your strawman. I said no such thing. I also believe the Bible.

    There you go! 'Nuff said!

As to your next post, don't make the mistake of accepting every word in Wikipedia as infallible.

But you call yourself a "progressive" and being a progressive is in direct opposition to what the Bible teaches.

Sorry but the current outrage over criticism of Obama lacks any intellectual honesty given the fact that there was absolutely none over the rhetoric concerning Bush. "Progressives" have a lot of nerve acting offended and carry absolutely no credibility on this issue.

"Progressive"??? I am glad we got a new word to describe them, I was getting tired of "liberal".

And, "progressive" better describes their attitude of infinite intellectual wisdom.

This is a prime example. If you would take the time to read, I said criticism is fine. Criticise away. But drop the childish tactics which is not debate.

As for rhetoric over Bush, to my recolIection have never said anything personal against the man. I have criticized his policies harshly, and deservedly. The rhetoric against Obama has gotten to the point of ridiculous and makes you lose any credibility your points may have. Of course, I expect you will ignore this too.

let's just say for argument sake you are right. You never said anything of the sort against Bush. (I do not believe that But I digress) Where was your cry against those who did much in the same way you are doing now? There was none. It is only because it is about your leader that you create this false concern. What you are in fact doing right now is nothing more that your usual debate tactic. And Ken has no credibility on this either to be sure. But like all libbies do "do as I say, not as I do".

I think it is time to close this thread. Ken made his point. Others have, as well. Time to move on. Thanks.
