    Josh, My, my. Can you actually sleep at night?
    All I can say is, I'm glad I'll not be standing in your shoes on judgment day!

    Where is pedophilia outlawed in the Bible? Just wondering.

    Aaron: It wouldn't shock me in the least if there was a way out of that one too. :(
    Seems there isn't anything not justifiable if we only try hard enough. :mad:
    There is nobody looked up to more as a representative and example of Christ than a Pastor.
    Oh, I'm gonna stop this post now, grrrrr.

    Whether it is outlawed in the Bible or not it is against the law in the country we live in and the Bible is very specific about obeying the laws of your government unless they contradict God's laws. So, from that point of view pedophilia is wrong in the United States regardless of what the Bible says about the specific subject.

    I think common sense would also dictate here because most pedophilia is fornication (unmarried sex) and therefore is definitely against Biblical law. Some of it is done by married people so then it becomes not only fornication, but also adultry. Much pedophilia is accompanied by pornography and other such issues, so whether or not the Bible has a "Specific" verse relating to the subject, it is pretty clear that it does not take a genius to figure out that in most every case it is against God's law in one way or another. ;)

    Dr. Cassidy,
    Thank you VERY much for your strong stand on homosexuality and the interpretation. I admire you for not pulling punches on this subject that is infiltrating so many of our denominations today. Satan is definitely at work and I appreciate your stand for what is right and want to let you know that I stand behind you in the same belief and wish to make that public on this board! [IMG]

    I made a horrible mistake and assumed because Joshua kept indicating there was nothing wrong with homosexual relationships that he was involved in one. I was wrong and I appologized to him for that. I still do NOT agree with his doctrine that homosexual relationships are not sin and that he should be preaching that from a pulpit.
    The mistake was totally mine and a complete misunderstanding based on my interpretation of the posts as I read them. I assumed wrong that he himself was involved in such a relationship and I am sorry to Joshua and to anybody else who might have taken that in the wrong context. I now understand that Joshua is NOT a homosexual and not practicing homosexuality. I do understand that he finds nothing wrong with the practice; however, and that is what I disagree with. Please forgive me for the mistake.

    In all the posts of this thread, I only saw one reference to the first chapter of Romans. I believe it is quite clear what God thinks of the sin of sodomy. I will never twist the Word of God to match my beliefs but will with prayer and study, change my beliefs to line up with His Word. What in the world are they teaching in post graduate schools anyway. :rolleyes:

    What don't you understand about the verses below?

    Simply put Sodomites are the result of rejecting God!
    Romans 1:19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. 28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
