He has got one long uphill road ahead of him but I think he is doing as well as anyone could do in his situation.

Yes, it does come across well, generally. But it reaches too far when he says, "I passed ... " certain legislation. He may have proposed, he may have worked for, but no one individual, even the president, PASSES legislation. That is done only by the congress or a legislature. He must not claim too much, or his credibility will be damaged.

I am impressed with the positive tone of the ads...and no mud slinging. Could it be we actually can have a campaign for president without the mud? How refreshing would that be!

I am not waiting on my dialup connection to load a youtube clip, but is he really trying to kiss and make up with all those dummies who "cling" to family, religons and guns? Shur...shurrrrr.

    "I feel he's sincere."
"He seems to be a good man."

These kind of evaluations do not look at the record. They do not look at the stances taken. We have gotten hopelessly shallow in our political evaluations of candidates.

Before coming after me, full disclosure: I looked at McCain's record. Not much better. For the first time since 1988, I don't know if I can in good conscience vote for a presidential candidate.

I guess this illuminates the problem. We need to seat someone in the oval office but there has never been a candidate without baggage. For most this means the conscience must also be compromised. I don't think we ever pick the best this country has to offer but the lesser of the two evils that made it to the last round... :BangHead:

Now I have seen the video, and he sure changed his tunes on family, loyalty, faith and love of country rather quickly. Now they're something positive? Will destroying the current SC's rule that American's have a constitutional right to own guns be his objective in appointing federal judgeships? (or maybe second to forcing same-sex marriage in all states, or third after abortions without restrictions everywhere?)

I think that some of the anti-Obama folks would have nicer things to say about Satan himself than about Barack Obama.

    Based on slickly produced ads?

The depth of your naivity is astounding.

This must mean you've dropped your support for Bob Barr.

Fickle may be the word I'm looking for. Or maybe your just indecisive, and waiting for the next bandwagon.

Maybe you just, at some point, want to be able to say you backed the winner.

I always knew the Barr kick was a passing fad for Ken. His heart is in the Obama camp. Tis a shame for sure, to be included with the pro-abortionists, if one professes to be a Christian. :tear: Sad.

We'll see how happy you are, Ken, when he raises your taxes OR WORSE. You will be the first to complain, I betcha.

He is having a hard time admitting he is a single issue voter after all his negative comments about such. For Ken it is about the war in Iraq. Probably not much more.

??? naivity is not even a word ???

The depth of your spell checker is not very good whether it be in your noggin or the Texas A&M version only meant for a Commodore 64. hahahahaha

    <inappropriate comment edited>

I do not see anything slick only someone who is sincere and is wisely running his campaign based on the people he wants to reach out to, because he identifies with them.

Now this may be somewhat innocent, but I can dream can't I
