Over here we recently had a chance to put in ANYONE but Dubya's lap-dog, but majorly messed it up  :( I know our voting system Down Under is just a big scam, but a swing TOWARDS little johnny... I mean ok, the other "major" party is just a big a bunch of ratbags as whats-is-name's, and some of the minors are even worse, but most seats still had a few half-decent independents running.

I still wake up screaming "WHY?!?!" ;) Which leads us to the poll [IMG] George seems to have most of the BB vote tied up, and call me weird (it's been done ;) ), but I just don't get it [IMG]

Edjamakate this poor Aussie. I can't work our result out, so want to get head start thinking about this one just in case it does happen ;)

Pete, this poll was a bad idea since it's not your country or your vote.

George talks the talk Pete. Skull & Bones and Bohemian grove, business ties with the Saudi's, big oil, pharmacologicals, planned parenthood, a history of arming our enemies, and building the intelligence business from the groundfloor can all be overlooked because George talks the talk.

That and most folks still believe in the false left vs. right paradigm.

Maybe they just don't have their aluminum foil helmets tuned to the correct frequency yet.

    1. He is the best man for the job.
    2. He is strong and decisive on national security and will win the war.
    3. He has a pro-life record and will appoint pro-life judges just as he has in the past. There will be at least 2 openings on the SC in the next 4 years.
    4. He has brought about a recovery of the Clinton / 9-11 recession.
    5. He supports Israel in the war against terror.
    6. And last, but not least, liberals in Europe and you don't want Bush to win. :D

    Joseph B. put it best.

George W. Bush is the right man at the right time to lead this country.

John Kerry wants to lead us back to a pre-Sept. 11 world, where terrorism is a "nuisance" and a "law enforcement issue." Look where that mindset led us. Over 3,000 Americans dead on Sept. 11, 2001. Never forget that.

GWB is a leader on the war in terror. Al-Queda is on the run. Saddam is in prison. No more terror attacks in the US since 9/11. The terrorists are not fighting unarmed civilians in the United States - they are fighting our soldiers who are armed and ready for them. If John Kerry is elected and pulls out of Iraq, the sacrifices and deaths of our soldiers over there will have been in vain, because that would hand the country back over to the evil terrorists who will do anything to get it back. How can we abandon the Iraqi people to this fate?

Diane, unfortunately U.S. policy affects the rest of the planet. Especially down here with our current looney PM who says his prayers bowing in direction of 1600 Penn Av ;) And I guess until this section of the board changes to "BaptistBoard.com » Christian DEBATE Forums (American Christians) » Politics » " there will be a few of us foreigners here now and then causing problems ;)

tragic_pizza, crybaby? [IMG] I'm not the one defending poor wittle POTUS against a big evil cabbie from other side of planet ;)

poncho, I agree with most of what you said...I just doubt the ability some have of making their foil helmets ;)

Joseph, you get the gold star for being first Bush supporter to answer the question [IMG] Well done [IMG] May I ask do you think Mr Bush should look into and take action on any members from previous U.S. administrations who supported Saddam/etc for so long when they knew how bad things were? If I may not ask it then don't worry, I won't take the gold star off you ;)

Daisy, I think it may be another gold star to Joseph, from memory George's phrasing was along the lines of "the end of major hostilities"

Most certainly, you may ask. I guess before I answer, I need more information from you to see exactly where you are going with this. What is the context of your question? Who are the members of previous U.S. administrations who supported Saddam / etc for so long when they knew how bad things were? Are you referring to Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, W.? Where is your evidence that any of these people supported him and knew that he was so bad at the same time?
