I didn't know this was written.

I remember Adam as a small child.

What a testimony he presents in this song!

I trust you will enjoy it and make comments.

Adam married into the 'Patch the Pirate' clan, and is taking over the ministry, as his father-in-law 'Captain Patch' has been found to be suffering from dementia:

I think if more brethren on here would listen to this song and take to heart the message it coveys... That all Gods children are Heirs Of Heaven and being Heirs and joint Heirs with Christ... They were given something they never worked for or deserved... Then maybe, just maybe... They would show more kindness to others on here... Brother Glen:)

1 Timothy1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Looks to me like Jesus Christ came to save the realist as well as the idealist!

I enjoyed the song and many of its truths. However, it is a pity the song contains unbiblical assertions. Romans 8:23 says we are waiting for our adoption (at Christ's second coming) so we have been made a child of God. Therefore we are indeed an heir of heaven.

Van, didn’t you miss the “to wit” part of Romans?

The “adoption of our bodies” statement might be slightly stingy in the rendering because the “to wit” is more then overlooked and that is not the same as the positional adoption that has already taken place as Ephesians 1 indicates:
5He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, 6to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
The NIV actually (imo) gives a bit clearer statement of this passage:
5God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
The adoption is finalized, however the new body and clothing is to come.

Again, the NIV of Romans 8 brings clarity (imo) to what estate believers have as adopted in this present world.

And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. (Romans 8).

Believers are adopted, but do not have full rights because of decayed bodies.

No verse supports our past adoption, none, zip, nada. No verse will be forthcoming. The concept is false doctrine. We look forward to our adoption.

Your conclusion is not based upon reliability, and no persuasion that what I posted was in error.

Perhaps, so as not to further hinder this thread, you should start anew thread disproving from Scriptures what I posted from the Scriptures in the post, above. I doubt you are capable to undertake such an endeavor.
