Deal with this fact - who was the president on 9/11/2001 who had been in office already for almost 8 months?

I doubt that you would give President Obama a pass if, God forbid, an act of terror occurred on U.S. soil tomorrow and blame it on President Bush.

No, I wouldn't necessarily blame it on anyone. I also don't buy that the President is always reponsible; some things just happen, and some things have shared responsibility.

I will say this--if a terrorist attack happened tomorrow, more fault would lie with the Bush administration than with the Obama administration, simply due to the time required to plan.

Somebody has to take responsibility. I just tend to go along with Harry Truman's statement that "The Buck Stops Here."

And I tend to think that it's an overly simplistic approach to peg responsibility on the POTUS.

I would blame the attackers. Just Like I did when Clinton was pres. Just like I did when Bush was pres.

And I thought the attackers DID take responsibility.

So Bush wasn't responsible for anything? Johnson wasn't responsible for escalating the Viet Nam war? Nixon wasn't responsible for Water Gate? Clinton wasn't responsible for cheating on his wife and lying about it (along with half of American husbands)?

hmm If I remember right the first attempt was under Clinton's watch was a flop. A little clip on the news. The second attempt was another flop because they parked their bomb between two pillars instead of next to one and only wiped out the entire parking garage levels. Just in office, trying to win over half the inflamed public ie visiting an elementary school, the third time was a charm.

Then there was the coincidence of 20+ people mysteriously disappearing, dying of heart attacks and outright killed (by unknown assailants) and suicide (which from my hearing live news changed at every later broadcast), whose only common denominator was that they were slated to become whitewater witnesses.

And the only person in history to directly interfere with, commit perjury, removing and concealing evidence to avoid prosecution in a congressional investigation is now holding one of the highest offices of the land.

Then there was the bombing of the US base..............

Anyways, to whom doth thou refer to being of expunged cause I missed something ?
