They would both win, for they would be tag team partners against the Qur'an, Bhagavad Gita, Analects of Confucius, Bhuddist writings, the Book of Mormon, Ugaritic myth texts, etc. They would never loose. [IMG] Some people make fun of King James' costume though (those 17th century tights don't go over well in the dressing room), but KJV and NIV would dominate in the ring.

Yah the King James guy might just cut a little slack for his out fit and man his self esteem would be horrible. And you are right they should be tag team but then you got these people who are trying to break them up and turn them against eachother like macho man and hulk hogan in 1980 something where elizabeth gets hurt and hulk gets blamed.

King James wouldn't get into the ring for fear of breaking a nail. ;)

KJV is the old man and not as strong so he would lose unless NIV is a whimpy baby.

The KJV wrestler would want to use all sorts of ancient holds (they would look like some of the modern holds but have strange names/spellings) and would probably sound much better at the microphone due to the much higher reading level.

The problem with the NIV wrestler is that he/she (one can never really know with the NIV) runs the risk of incorrectly translating the thoughts of the fight promoter and end up in jewelry shop.

hmm, why does this remind me of 1 Cor 6:11 KJB online:
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

i for one wldn't like to put on a powdered wig everytime i stepped outta the house! [IMG] old ain't necessarily good.

the 1611 KJV would win because it has all those extra Apocryphal books and the NIV only has 66 :D

My church was very "rule-oriented", with lots of emphasis on the outward life. Great preaching and doctrine (home of Central Baptist Seminary with 150 men) but unreal pressure to conform to legalistic standards.

I learned how to be a great pharisee, how to judge others when they failed to live up to the standards, and how to be saved-by-grace, but live-by-works.

After nearly 35 years of being saved but miserable, God's grace finally illumined me. Now I don't want ANYONE to go down the road I was on. I truly wish I could relive part of my life and ministry, emphasizing liberty in Christ over the typical ifb pharisaism.

Learn the lesson young, my friend.
