If you weren't a Baptist, what would you be?

If I could not be a Baptist I would choose to be in an evangelical church where the Bible is taught, it should also not be lithurgical. In Sweden it could be Mission Covenant Church of Sweden.

Grace Community Church seems to be non-denominational, though most of the staff are former Baptist preachers. You can check out their web site for their doctrinal statements, etc.

    I voted other...atheist :D

All kidding aside, I would probably choose Evangelical Friends. Even thought they believe you can lose your salvation, many Baptists believe the same.

    Non-Denominational,

There are some very Baptistic ones and conservative in nature. Of course, there are also some that are way to the left...

Hey, my 1,000 post again! This will be my 3rd or 4th time reaching this milestone. Lets see how long it takes the system to revert me back to 900 again...

WAS Baptist, now Presbyterian. Not too many differences -- especially between reformed Baptists and conservative Presbyterians. My guess is that the biggest difference one would notice on any given Sunday is that we don't have invitations (altar calls).

Here is an interesting web site that selects the denomination based upon your answers to 24 questions:

I did the test and found myself having Reformed Baptist as number 1. Do this mean I am an Calvinist? Have I spent to much time in Ephesians? Well, I think that I may very well accept that if I lived in the US I may had been member of a Reformed Baptist Church. And as a Baptist I think it is a good thing to not be too far away from the 1644 London Confession.

I think I should reread Ephesians on my summer holiday. Do any of you have advice of a good commentary on Ephesians for lay people.
