yes, but why would the HS be involved in groupd that would pervert and deny the very gospel, and the cardinal truths of God and man though?

Why would he be giving extra revealtion that denied/contridicted that in the Bile, did He make a mistake originally?

There are groups within the Charismatic movement that:
    --deny the trinity.
--make baptism a requirement for salvation.
--make speaking in tongues a requirement for salvation.
--believe that we all are "gods." (little god theology)
--believe that the atonement was a deal struck between Jesus and the devil.
--believe that the canon of scripture is not closed, but is still being written through their "inspired" utterances.

    And there is much more.
As Baptists, and even all of evangelicalism, we don't believe in such unorthodox doctrines. Or to put it another way, we don't deny the very fundamental doctrines of the faith. Some of the doctrines that are denied here lead me to believe that the person denying them is not saved.

For example, if the Christ you believe in is not the "trinitarian Christ" he is not the Christ of the Bible, and you are not saved.

If the atonement is not Christ shedding his blood for all mankind as payment for our sins, then you are not saved. IOW, if your definition here is that it is a deal with the devil, you cannot be saved.

If either baptism or tongues are a requirement for salvation then a person is not trusting in Christ alone. They are not saved. They don't understand salvation.

The Charismatic movement is fraught with such error.
It is not so simple to make a blanket statement "There is error in every religion."
More accurately put: "Not every "religion" so-called, denies the fundamentals of the faith. We don't.

Since so much of the modern charasmatic movement is filled with so much bad theology/error/even heresy, can't we assume with certianity that whatever spirit is involved with much of that is NOT the Holy sprit, and that those saying he is involved in promoting those heretical teaching are close to comiiting Blashemy, by attributing works of satan to being of God?

I do not deny any of the above! To deny that would be to disagree with the Word of God! I do not believe anyone HAS to speak in tongues!
I will add that revelation in prophesy does not add to or take away from the Word of God! It is on a personal level! But those that do not believe in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit for today will probably never experience this!

What you believe in doesn't make it the truth.
What you believe in doesn't make it Baptist doctrine, as you have seen on this board. Even though you have the name Baptist on your church, that doesn't make "Charismatic doctrine" a "Baptist" belief. You should know better than that.

You are still confused about "the manifestation of the Holy Spirit."
    We all believe in that.
It is the gifts of the Holy Spirit that we believe have ceased.
Why do you confuse the two?

Isn't Blaspheming attibuting to satan what God is doing?
They told Jesus he was doing the works of satan....you are coming close to saying the same thing! What if you are wrong? What if it is of God? I would be very careful...you are doing it out of ignorance..but you have been shown in scripture where it is true for today! So can you claim ignorance??
