    Back in 1962 JFK called off the American assistance for the invasion of Cuba.

    Suppose, JFK allowed the invasion...

    Seriously though, I think that the Bay of Pigs was an immoral act on part of JFK.

    it could have been a HUGE mistake - Kruschev was an enigma. This could have been the thing to cause him to "push the button."

    And yes, the whole thing was immoral.
