Just a quick question. I've not been a member here for a year yet, but from time to time I notice people saying "Oh they are on my ignore list". Obviously depending on the subject our opinions are wide ranging, and I do occassionaly see personal attacks (may have even made some myself which is wrong :(), but it seems kind of childish to me on a forum of this type to totally ignore others. The scroll button or back button works great if there is a post/opinion I'm not interested in reading. So, do you have other members on your ignore list? If so, do they even know they are on your ignore list? If you do, I'm sure there are various reasons, and I'm not asking for specifics because there's no need to dredge up old heated arguments.

BTW, I know a lot of my posts are pretty lame, and I probably don't bring much to the table, but I hope I'm not on anybody's ignore list. (I guess I will find out if no one answers this thread).:tear:

The more you interact on here the more you will come across some who need to be. You should have seen some of the PM's I've received (and physical threats publicly), not to mention it helps from spreading more heat than light. Some try to drag you down to their level.

I don't do the ignore thing. I just can't get worked up by a message-board disagreement (at best), or insult/attack (at worst)...at least, I can't get worked up for long. :D

I guess if it ever got bad enough, I would take that as a cue that I needed to step back. I'm not saying that should be everyone else's take on the matter...but it is mine.

I think saying that someone is going to put another on the ignore list is ignorant. :) Ignore...ignorant.Get it. ;)

I have had about 7 or 8 people claim that I am on their ignore list. "I put Rippon on my ignore list. I will ignore what he says. Do you hear that Rippon and the BB? I am making this public so that everyone will know. I will ignore him." LOL!

Portions of my remarks are quoted by others. And the one doing the ignoring will see my remarks. He/she can't "ignore" it. They can't win.

It's all rather silly and infantile.

Yes, I have about twenty people on my ignore list.

I don't care if they know or not. It isn't my job to inform them.

LOL! No I don't have anyone on my ignore list.

I figure I won't be able to ignore them in heaven so I should get used to dealing with them now. :D

Hmm, not sure how many people will visit me in my remote mountain cabin by a beautiful trout stream in heaven. :saint:

You realize that in heaven the temperature will always be perfect with sunshine all day long and it will rain only at night.

It's comments like this that usually get someone on ignore. It's best to not see this than sin by getting angry at your brother.

I don't have anyone on my ignore list although there is one member who has tempted me to put them on it. However, I like to know what's going on so I don't do it. In all of my years on the internet, I've never put anyone on my ignore list but then again, I've only had one person really attack me online - and unfortunately, that's one member here.

I'm sorry Ann. I repent with sackcloth and ashes, or tatersacks, or something.

BTW, Salty is on my ignore list. I still see everything he posts - I just ignore it.
