I prefer an unlimited government Democrat to an unlimited government Republican. At least the Democrat won't be pretending to be something other than what he/she is when it comes to government.
That's just dumb thinking brother! Sorry. :tonofbricks:

Except for Ron Paul, they are all big government candidates for the establishment, status-quo.KenH said:Maybe so. Maybe so. But it is mine.![]()

I have to admit that some of this is my reaction to the pretty constant Democrat/liberal bashing that takes place in this forum. The Democrats really aren't as bad and the Republicans really aren't as good as some people protray them to be in this forum.
Things would be much more well defined by party if Giuliani and Romney would become Democrats, and Ron Paul would move back to the Liberterian Party.carpro said:Anyone that can go from being a Ron Paul supporter to an Obama supporter is... confused, to say the least. :BangHead:

Lets see, how many times have I said this in other threads. NO. No votes for Democrats. Since Giuliani and Romney have the same moral bearing as the Democrats, NO to them also. It is called third party vote if it is a Giuliani/Romney vs any Democrat race.carpro said:So, if you end up with Giulani or Romney as Republican candidates, will you cut of your nose to spite your face too and throw your support to either Obama or Hillary?

To dig a little deeper, why do you think it is that the Democrats have such a good chance this year?

KenH said:Saying some nice things about Obama and admiring some of his foreign policy prescriptions make me a supporter of his?
Are you saying there is something wrong with finding areas of agreement with my political opponents?
KenH said:On a serious note, I would prefer Obama or Clinton in the White House compared to any of the Republicans except for Paul and Thompson.
In fact the more I read and hear from Obama the more I like him. I especially liked his foreign policy essay in Foreign Affairs last year.

KenH said:Yeah, poncho, many of those on both the extreme right and the extreme left in our political system have fallen into a very, very bad habit of totally excoriating anyone with whom they disagree with.
So much for the days when liberals and conservatives could walk off the political battlefield and go down to the bar and have a drink together.
