I was really mad to hear people booing when Pres. Bush was announced before the Inauguration. And when he left in the helicopter, apparently people chanted, "Na, na, na, na, hey, hey, go away" or words to that effect.

I am not a Bush supporter, btw.

This was not a football game, for heaven's sake. For people to behave like this at an inauguration is sickening and embarrassing for the U.S. I think people in the U.S. are getting more and more immature and losing the art of manners and dignity and class.

I just had to post this to rant.

I agree. I am not a Bush supporter, but that was horrible. Those folks have NO class.

President Bush exited office with a style and grace that those Bush haters making noise will never, ever, understand.

I agree, that was sad to treat a person who gave 120% service to this nation. However, Rush said he hopes Obama fails and refuses to take his statement back. I think we just have some stupid people among us.

President Bush has always exhibited grace for his opponents while they vilified and attacked him personally.

Well, I never listen to Rush and he doesn't speak for me.

I think one thing that surprised me when I became a believer what how so many people assumed I agreed with Rush and other conservative talk show people who are not even Christians.

You left out the all important context:

    http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_012209/content/01125108.guest.html

Rush doesn't support him if he takes up his liberal bent that will lead us to our demise. But will, gladly if Obama leads us well...

What Rush thinks or says has no bearing on this thread.

    More smokescreen by LB.

Typical liberal behavior. After seeing the oxymorons, the "angry gays" throw that little old lady's cross down and trample it while roughing her up, nothing surprises me.

If this is true, than Rush is a much of a classless idiot as those who booed President Bush and is typical of a branch of conservatism which too often manifest itself in Christian circles.

I didn't hear the "Elementary classroom" chant--------but I am a Bush supporter-----I did catch the "Change of Office" switch between he and Obama---and I did watch the segment where "Dub" got on that helicopter with "Miss" Laura---I could tell, though----that "Dub" was happy---cheerful----smilin' like a mule eatin' briars!!!!! I would be too, if the past eight years were as full of "citizen-hate" for me like it were for him-----I could tell by the look on his face climbing aboard that helicoptor---that "Happiness is Washington in my rearview mirror"------and a little bird tells me that the last thing he told the helicoptor pilot was

    "Take us to Texas!!!! PRONTO!!!!"

Don't you? You hope he succeeds in spending more money to fund abortions? You hope he succeeds in expanding government's ineffectiveness? You hope he succeeds in instituting liberal policies?

I didn't hear Rush say it, but the article I read said that Rush hopes he fails because he is a liberal and his policies will ruin America.

I would hope you would agree. If you don't, then shame on you.

PL it was shown that libs booed Bush so he had to try and find "tit for tat" as is common around here. It was just a get even coment.

Here's what Rush said...can't say I don't agree with it.

'I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say, "Well, I hope he succeeds. We've got to give him a chance." Why? They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000. Before he was inaugurated the search-and-destroy mission had begun. I'm not talking about search-and-destroy, but I've been listening to Barack Obama for a year-and-a-half. I know what his politics are. I know what his plans are, as he has stated them. I don't want them to succeed.

Interesting you didn't even take the time to exclude abortion from your agreement with Obama's policies.

Smart wording Rush - he is not looking for personal failure for Obama, but that his currently expressed plans will fail.

I don't like Rush, but he can be a wordmaster.

However, I disagree that a good reason to not give Obama a chance was because 'they' did not give Bush a chance.

Rush wants his ideas to fail, and they will. You can't finance your way out of debt. Rush does not want the country to fail. You need to put that context in, or you are being dishonest.
